Going in late Sept. and staying off site. We will be driving in every day.

Supposed we get TOTALLY SLOSHED at the F&W festival and need to take a

cab of bus back to the motel.

not sure about leaving vehicles overnight in WDW lots :confused3

if you are motivated to get totally sloshed, i would just factor out driving by taking a cab into the parks when you arrive. call another cab on your way out :thumbsup2 ! have fun - eat, drink, and be merry!

I don't think they allow overnight parking at the theme parks; you'd be at risk of getting your car towed.

If you know you'll be drinking on a certain day, you're better off taking your hotel's shuttle to WDW, or taking a cab from your hotel.

The F&W isn't really a 'getting sloshed' kind of event. The servings of wine they sell at the tasting booths are very small (like a few tablespoons), and kind of expensive. If you're out to get trashed, that's a slow (and pricey) way to do it...

A friend and I had something similar happen to us last year.

We had a rental car but we were staying on site. We were going to HDDR and knew we would both be partaking in some sangria. Neither of us will drive after even one drink.

So we went to Wilderness lodge and parked our car there. Then we took the boat over to HDDR. We had a wonderful time and then took the boat to MK and spent the rest of our evening there.

We took the Disney buses back to our resort, PC. In the morning we took the bus to the MK and then took the boat to WL to pick up our car. It was our last day there so we headed back to PC, had a nice CS lunch there, picked up our luggage, and headed to the airport.

It worked very well for us and I felt like we were doing the safe and responsible thing!

You could do the same thing by parking at one of the resorts around Epcot, like at the Boardwalk, have a meal there and then head over to the park either by walking or taking a boat to the International Gateway. I guess there is always the chance that you might get towed out of the lot but we explained why we wanted to park our car and we had no trouble doing it.

Just let Security know if for any reason you don't feel like you should drive back. I am sure they have had the issue occur before.

I have seen cars left after closing at the TL parking lot. Security will check the tag and ask OC Sheriff's office to run the plate to make sure it is not reported as stolen. If it is there a second night it will be towed.

I would say plan to get sloshed. There is a lot to drink and if you like to drink chances are you will not be able to drive. 9 out of 10 times I have left EPCOT tipsy and in no state to operate a vehicle (luckily we always stay on property and get on a bus.

Anyway is there a shuttle from your hotel to the park? if so take advantage and then grab a cab in the vening. that just my 2 cents.

Thank you for thinking ahead and being responsible!! Too many people drink and drive and it scares me to death. I would say just plan on drinking and get a cab in too! Enjoy your trip! :)

For visiting food/wine fest I suggest just taking a cab to the park.

Definitely! I wonder if you could valet your car at one of the nearby resorts? I've only done it for the kids' adventure cruise, but they didn't ask how long we would be parking there for the valet.

Ah, but the problem with that is, they would still be driving sloshed :teeth: if they have to pick up their car from a valet.

I agree with "plan-ahead sloshing". Take a bus, shuttle, or cab to and from the park on any day you expect to drink a lot.

Plan ahead and do not use your car... get a ride or take a cab, a bus, get there by using alternative means.. Two reasons, one you will not be tempted to drive if you have had too much to drink and two, you will not have to worry about your car being towed etc because you made the right decision to not drive.

Oops, I meant pick the car up the next day. Which, may NOT be a good idea, because they would have to get back to the car somehow....

Would just like to add Kudos for your planned sloshing. It ensures your safety and all others that might encounter your vehicle with a shoshy you behind the wheel.

(I'm digging the whole slosh verb thing.)

agree with others...just take a bus or cab and then no worries either way!
