I recently learned that a cup of white vinegar in my wash takes care of the sweat odors that don't like to leave clothing, even when you use laundry soap!

I was having problems with my work out clothes stinking when I sweat in them...using vinegar in the wash has completely solved that problem!!:thumbsup2

Any other suggestions for using vinegar?

clean your windows and mirrors. They really shine. Also, I have tile floors and every couple of weeks I mop with vinager and water. Again they shine.

Vinegar and baking soda to clean out the kitchen drain pipe.. Fizzes like a volcano, but works great.. LOL..:goodvibes

I put a cup of white vinegar, followed by a gallon of water, through a pipe connected to my air conditioner once a month. If you don't do this, mold and other slime builds up in the drain pipe and backs up into the air conditioning unit.

Among what others have suggested I like vinegar on my greens (kale, spinach, etc) also in some salads like potato salad, in deviled eggs, and other foods. It also suppose to be a good health benefit, but no can drink as I have stomach issues.

We use white vinger to remove mineral deposits from coffee maker. Fill the water reservoir with 1 cup or more of white distilled vinegar and run it through a whole cycle. Run it once or twice more with plain water to rinse clean to make it run like new. (Check the owners’ manual first.)

I use vinegar in place of fabric softener and it works wonders. I am sensitive to a lot of fragranced softners and vinegar works best.

You can also do the same in a little dish and put in your jewelry. Cleans it very well!! Just swish it around and then rinse with water.

I like my peeled, thinly sliced cucumbers marinated in apple cider vinegar, a little olive oil, and a dash of black pepper.. Yum! :goodvibes

I've "killed" coffeemakers by using the wrong amounts of vinegar vs. water, so read those manuals carefully everyone!!

I put 1 cup in my laundry
I use it to wash windows and mirrors
I use it as a rinse agent in my dishwasher
I sometimes use it if my dog pees on the carpert

Really good for stopping heartburn. Drink a tbsp - it'll burn bad for a minute and then no more heartburn. I sometimes do this in the middle of the night in addition to my RX for heartburn (GERD) when I have an episode.

my mom used to put vinegar in our mouths for biting... ha :lmao:

we put a little on the carpet where my kitty misses the litterbox after using a cleaning agent. It takes the smell out so the cat doesn't keep marking the carpet there.

I have a question, are you using white vinefar or apple cider vinegar for this? I think I can get past the burn if it's going to help... my Rx is a long term one, but I still get flare ups sometimes even with it. Anything for relief at those flare up times.

I'm on Aciphex 2x/day the last 5 years and still get flare ups. I use whatever is in the cupboard. Started with white, then we had some white wine vin., now we have apple cider vinegar which is much nicer! It works better for emergencies than tums or pepcid. At least for me.

White Vinegar:

1 C. to every load of laundry - really removes odors, especially what is referred to fondly in our house as boy funk! I also helps keep dark colors from fading

I Rinse all hard surface flooring with white vinegar after washing to remove cleaner residue.

I keep it in a spray bottle in the laundry room and spray onto deodorant stains on shirts as well as deodorant residue on bras.

My DH pours it down ant holes in the yard

Vinegar is also a disinfectant. Cuts grease. I use it for just about everything dishwasher instead of jet dry even then the stainless steel liner in dishwasher gets a build up on it from time to time so pour a cup or so in an run it thru when I do the dishes.

Keep a bottle of half vinegar an water handy for cuttin grease on stove top after frying bacon an all my other little messes, use it to clean table an counter tops windows mirrors etc.

Scrub the floors with water with a bit of vinegar.

Fabric softerner just put it in the softner cup, in the wash water in washer.

Makes a good rinse for your hair to remove build up left by hair products. leaves hair very shiney an soft.

Like others has said it's great for killing pee odor left behind by pets.

Before vinegar an salt potato chips came out used to dip my chips in vinegar YUM!

Bowl of vinegar left sitting in a room will remove odors.

Spraying house with vinegar will remove odors not just cover them up like many fake scents do. just spray with the half water half vinegar into the air the smell of vinegar evaporates in a short time leaving clean air smell behind.

Removes the lime scale build up..great to soak shower head in from time to time to remove the lime build up in them.

OH yeah soothes sunburns

MMMMMMM unlike bleach if your 2 yr old drinks it there is no need for a trip to ER if spilled it not going to ruin any clothing carpet or flooring I'd wipe as much of it off a hard wood floor quickly tho but no standing liquid is good for them. In other words it's a safe effective cleaner an yes you can kill weeds with it an it does not contain the hamful chemicals that weed killer does an hey you can out it on your salad an us it as an antiacid.....find another product that does so much.....

vinegar and water 50/50 in a spray bottle makes wallpaper removal easier.

This combo is also great for spots on carpet. Esp pet stains, but really works for anything:)
I've not heard of this one. I will make sure to try it!

I also use it in the microwave to loosen up baked on gunk. Put some water and vinegar in a bowl and boil it for several minutes. Then it wipes clean fairly easily. It will make your kitchen smell like vinegar for a while, but it goes away after a few minutes.
