I take sooooooooo many each trip. The first year we went I made up a photo book through the disney website but it's kept in a plastic bag out of reach, I also printed out a lot of pics, maybe 500 and put them in albums.

I haven't done anything with the pics from my second trip but I've printed and am halfway through putting our 3rd trip pics in an album.

I think this time, I'll do another photo book. I might do two of the same and leave one out for the kids and keep the other nice.

being quite handy

i go to bunnings and get a nice sized piece of mdf (wood the size of a table)

i then go to office works and get some special spray on glue that doesnt wreck the pictures

then i stick them to the wood

build a picture frame (very easy to do)

order some perspex to fix the recessed slot ive made (with a router)

then i mount it on the wall and enjoy it

everytime i walk in the front door theres memorys on the wall in all their glory

makes me smile :thumbsup2

Screensaver on the computer.

If they weren't so expensive I'd get a digital photo frame to shuffle through them.

The older film ones are in albums.....mostly...

Nothing, yet, and it has been nearly 2 years. The kids autograph books still have the blank pages waiting for the photo's. I have been meaning to do a photo book.

From our first trip on 2009, I edited and had printed 1600 of the photos (not bad considering I took 6000) then bought all beautiful fabric covered matching albums, created a family logo for the front with the year etc and had DD put all of the images in - after I had put them in the perfect chronological order :lmao:.

I also put the relevant images into the kids autograph books.

Jump to our 2010 trip. Again I edited 1600 images (there is a theme here :lmao:) but as yet I haven't had them printed. Planning on doing that in the coming weeks. Still haven't put photos in autograph books though.

I also drop all of the images onto DVD's and put pop them into the DVD player when we are working/doing homework etc in the house so that we can catch a glimpse of the images and enjoy our trip all over again.

I also came back and copy and pasted all of my live trip report from the DIS, printed out the pages and popped them into a display folder which is actually my favourite thing. I wrote in such detail for all of you guys :rotfl:, which at times while we were away was a struggle, but now all of that detail is a true treasure to me. I will always do a live trip report now, you can't beat writing in the moment and since I'm a quick typist, it's over and done with fairly quickly.

I love the idea of the digital books, I had fully intended doing that last time. Hoping to one day have the time to do it, but realistically I probably will never have the time which is a shame but that's life.

I'd love to see a pic of that.

I think the actual disney one cost me about $60 all up including postage, it has lots of disney themed pages (of course) and our name written on the front in silver. It's sweet. But would be much cheaper done locally.

I just had 500 printed up through Harvey Norman and they are TERRIBLE. The colour is sooooooooo bad and all the colours have leaked. ugh. That's what you get for 9c a print.

That's an excellent idea with the trip report. I might do that too but you'll have to tell me how you print it. Did you just press print this page?

We put our video on often so the kids will have a clearer memory of the trip. It's working because my dd who was only 3 has alot of memories of Disney and asks nearly daily to go back. :cheer2:

That's a great idea. I'll do that today. I have a tink screen saver at the moment and could do with a change.

Jacs, I hate Harvey Norman and Domayne for printing family snaps. Just rubbish. I tell you who I've been happy with though, and you'll be surprised. I have gotten the last two lots of family stuff done with K-Mart. Always get a matt finish, gloss is yuk. I generally wait until I see a special at Kmart for printing, you'll never get 9c but frankly you get what you pay for.

I beg my husband to let me use my professional lab for our personal stuff but he refuses :lmao:. He's probably right, doing the sums on 1600 photos at the prices a pro lab charges is a little crazy :rotfl2:.

With the trip report, I just opened a new word doc, copied and pasted everything into it, looked for any page break adjustments i needed to add and then printed it out. Simple.

you can make them as small or as large as you like

You guys give the best ideas - thanks for sharing!

Where is the best place to put your travel blog?

I love the Framed Picture Idea - thanks HappyFingers - Just hope I can be just as crafty (if not I'll ask my Mum - she's the artist)

Lots of great ideas here! :) I have mine all saved on discs that are kept in a Disney album I bought while over there, have printed off photos with characters and autographs to put in the album. Have loaded all my photos to facebook (took forever!) so my friends/family could see. Would love to make a photobook with them all but I took way too many photos!

We made a similar board to Happyfingers but i cheated and took all the photos in on a usb and made one up from that on a collage board at Kmart they turned out really well all different sizes only cost us $10.95.
I know some of you don't like kmart but the one here is good our kids have 1 each of their trip in their bedrooms. They had great backgrounds i think they were 11 by 15 inch and i did pay extra to have them printed in an hour on Christmas eve:eek: and we also printed photobooks that the kids are always looking at:yay:

Jacs1234 - Just received an email from Kmart offering prepaid photos:

You can now order prepaid bundles of 500 prints for just 10¢ per print (individual prints are usually 15¢ each.) Order on-line

HappyFingers, great board! Looks fantastic.

We made a photobook for each of our big trips, and we show it to as many people that will look at it! The children love looking at them. I also upload the photos online for families and friends who are overseas. I, of course, have my blog as well.

The BigW 6x4 matt prints are surprisingly ok, but their photobooks are terrible. Might give Kmart a go. Thanks hellosue for letting us know about the prepaid bundle.
