I always have a packaged red beans and rice. I usually put turkey kielbasa in it. It is high in sodium, but probably less so than the fries I would get with my burger.

I keep a list with about 50 meals that we like to eat, and when I can't think of something to cook, I look at the list to get ideas. I have two freezers and keep a well stocked pantry, and have lots of food I put up from our summer garden, so I can always come up with something to cook. That list is my lifesaver, though.
