We will be flying instead of driving and won't be able to bring a cooler. Will we be able to buy milk at PopCentury in a half gallon size? If so, how much will it cost and how can we keep it fresh? Also, how can we heat it up? Should we just bring formula? The infant will be 16months old and he will be completly off formula by then. If anyone has any tips on how to make a trip easier with a little one, please offer up some advice. Thanks

You can rent a fridge for $10 a day. Otherwise just put the milk in a cooler and refill with fresh ice from the ice machines twice a day. You might want to schedule a grocery stop on the way to the resort to save a little money on groceries.

What about Parmalat milk. I have used it and it tastes just like "regular" milk and is milk that does not have to be refrigerated. It comes in small portable box type containers.

We always have a cooler with us, you could bring a collapsiable one and fill it up daily with ice. For the bottles, I just ran hot water in the sink and let it heat up in there. I 've seen protable heaters that plug into the car lighters or into plugs. Think they're at Babies r us, or the right start catalog

Rent a fridge at your resort to keep milk cold. Yes you can buy it in the hotel shop & even get milk in the food court.

As for heating it up in the hotel, how about just running the bottle or sippy cup under hot water in the sink. That is what I did with DS's formula.

In the parks, ask for a cup of hot water at a resturant & plop the sippy cup or bottle in it for a minute.

Being on milk is so much easier then formula. You can buy milk just about anywhere, even at most gas stations.

If your DC will be off formula there is no point in bringing formula. Generally once a child is off formula, they will not want to go back to it.

When DS switched from formula to milk, I stopped warming the milk. Milk to me tastes much better cold, and it is so much mor convient to just pour him a sippy cup of cold milk. DS had no problem with it & loves it cold. In fact he refuses warm milk.

Oh & if you go to the Disney for Families board, there are several posts about going to Disney with a young child that can help you.

If your little one is still drinking formula, you can buy the powdered fromula and a bottle of water. Fill the bottles with water before you start the day and pack the can of formula in the diaper bag. Then one you need one, just add the formula to water and mix it up. That's always worked well for us.
