What do you do to kill time while waiting in line?

We brought 20 questions with us last time and it was a great option for standing in lines or waiting for shows.
I typically bring bubbles for waiting for parades. Crayons and notepad for DD for waiting at restaurants or for parades.
We also play I spy, which is lots more fun at DLR!

Since my Disney travel companion (my DD) is 16, games don't amuse her much anymore. She usually brings her Zen and listens to that. We do a lot of people watching too, discuss what to do next or when/where to eat. We really try to avoid long lines. We're pretty good at the fast pass thing.

I've never stood in a line more than 20 minutes.

When in a 15-20 min. line, i visit with the kid & enjoy looking at the theming.

hound :)

I usually just people watch and talk with whoever is with me. When my boyfriend comes next time, I'm sure I'll be placing his hands on my shoulders and telling him to get to work quite often. :thumbsup2

My mom likes to bring a hopping spider with her.. the type that have thin tubing attached to some sort of a squeezer. She would put the spider on a railing and wait for people to pass by, then make it hop. Maybe it's not the best or kindest idea in the world, but she always got a giggle when she managed to scare a grown man, as did everyone else in line standing behind us.

Usually, though, I plan my vacations so there will be no lines, or if I go when it's busy, I FP my favorites and just enjoy the shopping, dining, and atmosphere and don't try to get on as many rides as I can.

I agree. I don't stand in line. We travel in the off season and only go to the parks on weekdays. With fastpass, it is possible to almost never stand in line more than 10 mins or so. I'm sure Nemo will be the exception.

Tell her I got a giggle from reading this!:rotfl:

This is going to sounds silly - But I'm not really a ride person. So I'm usually not in any lines (my exceptions being POTC and HM). I'm too chicken to do SM or IJ. But the occasions that I am in line I usually just chit chat with the people I'm with. This year, I was all by myself so I took the time to scan through the pictures I was taking and delete all the no-go's so I had room to take more.
