We are staying at the Poly and don't want to spend a lot of time (or money) on breakfast each day. What are our options?

Great breakfasts are available at the Poly. You might want to look at the Disney Restaurants forum.

Depending on your length of stay and how you are getting there, you might want to think about bringing a toaster oven. My BF and I drove from Philly, and brought a toaster oven with us. Once in Disney, we went to the Goodings grocery store and got waffles, syrup, and butter. It worked up pretty well all week, and the oven was small and light weight where it did not get into our way. Plus, you can use it for heating up leftovers from your dinners (if you have any), or can get snacks (pizza rolls, etc.) to eat at night!

Kona Cafe is our very favorite spot in the whole world for breakfast, so make sure to spare at least one morning for a real treat! Most mornings, though, when we are in a hurry to get up and out to the parks, we just eat something quick in our rooms while we are getting ready. We usually have cereal bars, muffins, fruit, bagels, juice, etc. that we bring from home.

It's really not a good idea to cook in your room. But the food court area will have a microwave oven and/or toaster that you can use to heat up your food. You can grab something to eat at Captain Cook's which has a pretty good selection.

We will bring a small cooler and keep milk and orange juice in it. We bring bowls and spoons. We always do cereal, poptarts, breakfast bars, bagels etc. On mornings we are not doing character breakfast. We save alot by doing this. Besides my kids don't like to have a full stomach so early in the morning just before riding.

We always stay at the Poly. I would suggest getting up early and head over to captain cooks. They have fast stuff like cereal etc. A banana is like $1.10. My ds likes the cherry danish. You can get a table outside and watch the ducks go by but DONT feed them. Personally we bring granola bars etc. Its a way to save money. I usually only buy the bananas because of the potassium thing. I usually send 1 or 2 of the ds over for a mug run and then we fill them up into a bigger drink container that we take into the parks in our backpack. Breakfast wastes valuable park time, especially on early entry days. I just pop something out of the backpack and we munch while waiting on a ride line. I cant remember the milk prices, but that is the only other thing we would buy if necessary. Once dh was really hungry and he got some egg sandwich on a croissant I think. It was over $4.00 for sure. By the time he got out, there were no more tables left outside to eat at.

We drive so always take cooler with milk,oj, mini carrots etc..., plus a crate with cereal, granola bars and stuff to make PB&Js.

We hate to spend precious uncrowded mornings eating breakfast in a restaurant and we usually eat one other meal in the room. Leaves us money and appetite for splurges.

I had a small refrig for medicine and kept a couple of sodas, water and small jug of milk. A couple of days I bought cereal & a banana at the food court at PC, but it was so expensive I made a grocery run. I have to eat a little something first thing, which I would do in the room, then do the rides I wanted to do. Later on I would eat an early lunch. Saved a lot of money and was easier to get a table by eating early.

we stayed in a villa this time, and we went to walgreens and brought lucky charms, milk, toast etc etc! It was too much to eat a full breakfast or cakes every morning!

Its a great treat to have lucky charms because they dont sell them here in Britain anymore and havent for years!

first, I love your name!!!! I should have made mine byhisgrace!!

We usually do the cooler thing also. Or get a frig. in our room. One option is to run hot water through your coffeemaker and have instant oatmeal too. Also, we usually pack the little boxes of cereal in our suitcases for variety. At night, if we have run so much, the kids are 'kindof' hungry, so when we get back the varieties are a real treat and not too heavy before bedtime.

Also, we eat just a couple of mornings out, and try not to make it to heavy (like sharing a waffle, pancakes or whatever). And if you ask for a frig. or have a cooler, we pack juice boxes so that it doesnt matter if its cold until you want it cold. And you can usually purchase a small milk at your restaurants shop! Hope this helps. Ya'll have fun!

We go in May!:wave2:
