We did back to back Magic cruises last February. First of all, let me say it was absolutely wonderful, and not a day too long... In fact, when we were disembarking after our 2nd week (to spend a week a WDW), my daughter asked if we couldn't just stay aboard for a third week on the shift...
This is what we did in between cruises...
LAUNDRY ... This was really no big deal because I had the laundry room to myself, and used all of the washing machines at once, then threw everything into the dryers at the same time, so it was all done at the same time...
NAP ... We also tried to nap (we didn't have any music blaring in our room) but we kept getting interrupted by staff who were bringing us gifts ... first the
Castaway Club gift, then we had booked REAS so we received that gift, then a bottle of champagne from the concierge, and finally, some snacks from the concierge... We were in a category 6 but since we were staying on for a second week, we were sent treats from the concierge every day, as well as a couple of bottles of wine... I can't think of a better reason to be awakened than for presents!!
EAT ... We were the first in line for the lunch buffet. We had already booked PALO and the spa treatment because we were doing the REAS so we didn't need to stand in line for anything else...
ENJOY THE VERANDAH ... this was great except when the staff were cleaning the verandah above us, and all kinds of water poured onto our verandah... fortunately, we were watching this from inside our cabin.
ENJOY THE SHIP ... we did stay out of the way of the staff, but enjoyed having the ship to ourselves for a few hours ....
OUR OWN SAILAWAY PARTY ... since we had participated in the sail away party the week before, we decided to have our own party in our room. We ordered the cheese and cracker tray, and waved at everyone from our verandah.... it's amazing how many people line up to see the ship off... we saw the coast guard give us the send off as well...
We will be rebooking back to back cruises again... it was the best!!
