What do you consider TMI?

I have often shaken my head at what I read here that I consider private. I would never post private medical or financial information about my friends or relatives (or my relatives in-laws), even with their so called permission (sometimes someone will post something very private and when called on it, they will say it's posted with permission..but I wonder, does the person being talked about really know all that is being posted?). Especially something that could prove to be very hurtful, or even wreck a relationship.

Someone once posted here, some very private info about someone that I was able to ID by talking with my neighbor, who has a second home by the poster. He couldn't believe that info was posted on here and the actual fun made of this person, let alone the stuff said about her by the original poster. He was very upset and apalled, and I don't know what he did about it, but most of it was erased a week or so later.

I think sometimes people make more of stuff than is there, when posting, to make themselves feel important, and that could really hurt someone, if they find out their life (or what the poster perceives is their life) is posted on a board like this.

So, that said, I try to be careful..I would never want to hurt a friend or relative by sharing private information, because I wanted to feel important, or just had a big mouth.
