What do you bring for the water rides?

I'm thinking we should bring bathing suits, and towels for the splash areas in USO. Is there enough that it is worthwhile changing DD7 and DD4 into bathing suits, or will they not get wet enough. I imagine we should bring flip flops as well for their feet for those areas. And I don't imagine adults change into bathing suits?

As for IOA, I am going to bring flip flops for us to wear on jurrasic park, ripsaw falls and blutos rafts. Then a change of clothes for the kids to change into after those 3 rides and then quick drying clothes for me and DH or a change as well depending on how much room we have under our stroller :)

What do you do for the water rides?

For ripsaw falls and definitely on bluto you will get soaked. Given that, we wore ponchos the last time and got a little damp around the edges. If you tuck them in just right you can avoid getting soaked.

Why would you WANT to avoid getting soaked? That was the best part.
There were restrooms near Popeye, not meant for changing but if you're sneaky you could do it. I wore a bathing suit last time and didn't change, figuring I'd dry out quickly with the heat of the day, and ended up dripping on Spider-Man. Some people weren't too happy with that so I think I'll save the soaking for the last experience of the day. I don't know about how good flip-flops are. We use shoes desinged for river canoers-good for walking and holds up well when wet.

Have fun anyway you go.

We just save them for last and then head back and shower. If it is cooler weatehr it does make a difference to one's comfort. I'm not big on being cold when I can avoid it!

Rip Saw falls was a little wet and felt good. A lot less than we thought we would.

On Blutos you will get absolutely soaked top to bottom and the people on the water guns will make sure you are.

When we went, it was June, so it was hot. DH and DS wore swim shorts and t shirts, (DS's shirt was one of those swim shirts) I wore a bathing suit, under a tank and shorts (my shorts were fast drying kind) we all wore crocs.
We were staying on site, so we did the rides over and over, then had lunch outside and went back to the resort to change for the evening. The water rides were our favorite rides. There are these dryer machines, I think they cost about $5. Its fun to get soaked, but I would definitely want to change.

it was fun-we got wet. but our shoes, sneakers stayed wet & didn't really dry even overnight in the room so the next day we wished we changed our shoes. :guilty:

On Bluto you can take your shoes off when you are seated and put them under the plastic cover in the centre along with anything else you want to keep dry.

;)Our family (due to our first experience) all wore swim suits that day with quick dry swim shorts and t-shirts. We wore either Crocs our tennis shoes but took water shoes to change into and out of for the water rides as they take up almost no room in a pack.

I did that, put my shoes in the bin. Within minutes after getting off, they were just as wet as if I had left them on. I was so wet, that so much water was pouring down my legs, that it completely soaked my shoes.

:) I know the feeling, think I'm a bit of a water magnet, the raft seems to turn so that I get hit all the time.

Ha, didn't seem to matter on our raft, every single person on it, looked like they had jumped in the shower!!!!!!! It was crazy! We had to put our clothes in the dryer at the hotel, as we were cruising the next day, and couldn't put the wet clothes in our luggage.

we went on Bluto not knowing anything about the ride...Honestly we thought it was more of a *kiddie* ride.....I thought the people on the raft with us were whimps for wearing a poncho. All I have to say is it is a good thing we were hot and didn't mind walking around the park soaking wet!!! LOL
