what do you bring with you to the parks...drinks, sunblock, cameras and so on, and are there limits? thanks for any help:thumbsup2

A couple water bottles, sun block, camera. bubbles for the little one( those lines can be long) bright bandana to tie on our stroller so we can find it easier. hand sanitizer. baby wipes.

CHAPSTICK - I don't leave home without it.

We Travel lite

A hat and sunglasses
A carabener with water bottle clip
A small digital camera that clips to my belt
A small Disney swiss army knife

most importantly:
Tickets, KTTK card and a little cash

We carry a Disney backpack with all of the necessities- sunscreen, wipes, hand gel, small first aid kit(lots of band aids!), Kleenex, gum & candy, ponchos, autograph books, small notebook and pen to make notes for the day, Key to the World Card and a small amount of money. We use our KTTWC for every purchase and only use cash as a last resort. I love getting(NOT REALLY:scared1: ) the itemized statement on check out day. It really helps you see where you spent your money(EVERYWHERE) and is great for record keeping.:thumbsup2

I have a very small digital camera(IT IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!) and a bag for it that hangs around my neck. In it there is room for my KTTK card, photopass cards(easy to get to) and cell phone.

We also carry a small soft-side cooler with frozen juice boxes and bottles of water. We save money by ordering ice water in the restaurants and carry the individual packets of kool-aid and crystal light. It makes the water bearable and makes our cooler of drinks last longer. We also put in some trail mix, gold fish, pretzels and other snacks in the cooler bag. This bag is too heavy to carry so we rent a stroller for the youngest one and leave it there while on rides. Hope this helps!:goodvibes

also wasnt sure what they would let you pass through with, so thanks for all your help.

they are ok with you bringing food and such in, just the normal no no's, guns, knives, switchblades, small homemade bombs, grenades...that sort of stuff they frown on :lmao:

Disney sells knives at EPCOT thats where I found my Disney/Swiss army knife the CM at Mouse Gear handed me the knife but the CM in Japan sent my sons sword to the meadows trading post.

You asked about limits:

- no hard-sided coolers
- no glass bottle
- no alchohol

Food-wise we usually pack a lunch (sandwiches, chips, fruit, juice boxes, etc) and stash it in a rental locker when we enter the parks.

All that other stuff is good (camera, sunblock, etc). I also throw in some cheap dollar ponchos from wal-mart or academy sports in case of rain.

With regards to the parks, the Unofficial Guide to WDW website tells the best days to visit the parks but their rule of thumb :thumbsup2 is, "the day AFTER a park has Early Morning Hour". EMH draws a crowd and I hate crowds :scared1: .

That's why I go to WDW, to get away from the crowds :rotfl2: .

I've seen a lot of people drag small, wheeled suitcases behind them.:scared1: Egads! It's just a day in the park! Why all the "stuff"??

I travel light. Small waist bag w/cell phone, digtal camera, wallet, aspirin, hand lotion. If it looks like it might rain, I'll take a larger waist bag so I can take ponchos.

If you have little ones that you need extra stuff for, take what you "think" you might need in an emergency (extra clothes & shoes) and rent a locker to put the stuff in. It's there if you need it, but you don't have to lug it around. IIRC, coolers are not allowed.

We have a small insulated cooler that is a backpack. We take water and nuts, dried fruit in it and rent a locker to put it in. It's not very handy if you have to continually go back to the locker, but if you plan right you can go by the front exit near the lockers several times during the day. Don't take a bunch of food because we usually eat at TE for breakfast and that keeps us going most of the day. We carry our camera and I have a Buxton bag that we put all our little things in (agree with chapstick). With just DH and I, we don't need as much as people w/kids. One great thing about the locker is, if you park hope, you only have to rent a locker once and can use the lockers at any park you go to that day.

Thanks for sharing that tip! I've been a Disney regular since 73 and didn't know that!! See??? You learn something new every day!

Aww, there go my plans for our next trip :rotfl:

underwear:rotfl:

Is that in the list of things you're not allowed to take into the park?! :scared1: That must be a new rule!

As others have said, it's easiest if you can travel fairly light. We take a small bag each with our own waterproof, sun hat, wallet (with money, tickets, room key etc) and sunglasses. We'll also have a bottle of sun cream, a water bottle and a camera between us. The water bottle isn't essential, as there are so many water fountains around, but it does help when you are thirsty but can't get to a fountain (e.g. in an attraction queue). Nowadays, I'm usually the one to carry most of the stuff, as my wheelchair is seen as a handy dumping ground. Oh well, at least it gives me a purpose in life :rotfl:
