What do we know?

That he's got one of the few internet companies that's really making money.

That's he's got oodles of cash because of his stake in Universal Vivendi (and another huge chunk that GE paid him to stay away from NBC Universal).

That's he's always fancied himself a Hollywood player, but hasn't had any real power since he sold out Fox to News Corp.

And that he's very much like Eisner.

Yes, Diller's company still owns HSN, as well as Ticketmaster, Lending Tree.com, Hotels.com, Expedia, and a bunch of other smaller internet companies. After running Universal and all of those channels such as Sci-fi and USA networks and deciding to sell those off, I'm not sure if he would be interested in a company as diverse as Disney though, unless he were part of a consortium where he ran Disney's internet businesses and other companies ran the other pieces of the pie.
