Yes, everything you bring stays with you in your stateroom.
I found this out with the last cruise. I had a double stroller in WDW and wanted to store it other than my stateroom. I ended up mailing it to the Hard Rock Hotel for after the cruise because the Disney Cruise rep at the Swan specifically called and was told there wasn't an additional place to store items like that on the magic.
Depending on the size of the seat, you may be able to store it under the bed. We stored our DS's booster seats under the bed. However, they are small enough to fit into a duffle bag for flying.
It is a big seat! I guess we will just make room in our stateroom. We are renting from Budget for the trip to port but then renting from Hertz for the trip back.
i thought i read you could 'stow' items in storage on the ship?? My DD will have her collapsable wheelchair when we cruise and I was hoping that our stateroom hostess would be able to store it on the days she didn't need it
How old is your child? If she is over 30 lbs you can get a great smaller seat from Target for around $15.00. It is a booster that is just the seat and a place for the belt to go. you could store it easy and even use it for a booster in restraunts etc. (depending on the age). Also, if you are renting a car you can rent a car seat and then it is not your problem. You can fold up something under your child (for her to sit on) in the plane, to make the seat belt hit her in the right place. And with the exception of turbulance, the car seat is not going to do you a lot of good in a plane anyway . But perhaps that is a BIG exception. All of this is moot if you have a baby.
I would say. Get one from the rental agencies. They do rent them. There is also an organization that provides them ($$). Wouldn't it be GREAT if I knew their name! I read it somewhere on these boards.
Cool idea. Anyone else have any creative ideas like this?
We're doing a repo where car rental and flights will all be one-way, so storage isn't an option. We have a Britix Marathon (big and heavy) and a storage/travel bag to put it in. I've wondered if there was some sort of secure way to hang it out of the way, either in the cabin or on the verandah.
I would rather lug around our big safe seat rather than buying something that is more convenient. I will just stuff it in the closet or tub. Thank you all so much! I am getting so excited for our upcoming cruise!!!
