I've been sick since Tuesday night, when I came home and slept for 17 hours. I have a dry hacking cough, no runny nose, slightly sore throat but my chest and rib cage hurt like heck. The worst part is I've had a nagging headache since Tues. night. I lie down, it feels better, I get up my head starts pounding. You Moms know what it is like, you cannot be sick, ever! I have to go to work tomorrow............

Flu, pneumonia, bronchitis--I would go to the doctor soon to rule out anything bacterial.

Obviously, I can't begin to diagnose over a computer...but you could have anything from a nasty virus to mycoplasma (which is actually my best guess). When I had it, commonly called "walking pneumonia," my chest was so sore from coughing so much. It was not fun. I suggest you see your doctor :)

Do you have a fever?

Probably not the flu if you don't, but it could be some form of pnemonia. I would sure call the doctor.

Hope you feel better.

We've had a spate of Pertussis (Whooping Cough) around here. See a doctor!

Wow you sound just like me. I have sick since last week and still sick because my doctor is fill up can't see me tomorrow. I hope fill better soon. What ever is going around is a hard bug to shake.
