They do leave shampoo. It's the kind that is shampoo plus conditioner. It's really yucky stuff, though. It makes my hair amazingly limp and dull. I always take my own shampoo.
They also leave soap. At the deluxes they also leave body lotion, but I'm not sure about the moderates.
Just back from POR. Received 1 bar of soap and 1 small bottle of shampoo. The shampoo is really yucky. I always leave it there! In the past we always got new soap every day. Not any more. Cost cutting, I would guess. I'm sure if I asked for more soap I would have received it, but the 1 bar was plenty because I always bring my own hand soap.
I agree with GEM and jaguar9748, even though soap and shampoo are provided, I always bring my own. My hair doesn't react well to the shampoo (feels dry after I've used it) and I'm not nuts about the soap.
We have gotten the shampoo, and I agree...yuck! We have also gotten both bath and facial soaps. If you want some every day, just put the unopened ones in your suitcase, and they will leave more. We usually take the soaps home with us. The shampoo, however, we leave there.
We have noticed that even our shampoo and conditioner didn't do that well down there. Must be that the water is either too hard, or too soft.
This is a charity packing up bags of disney toiletries for kids in the hospital. I do use the shampoo at WDW (just bring my own conditioner, and have never had a problem) but I always have some leftover. I try to pack it all up when we get back and send it off.
Even one bottle of shampoo or one soap would be welcome.
If you put the soap and shampoo in your suitcase or somewhere out of sight each day, they'll leave a new one. They generally don't replace it if it's still there and not used up. We always take a few to stock our guest bathroom in between trips.
I've stayed at CBR twice, the most recent being this past Feb. They leave 2 different types of bar soap; a larger bar of bath soap and a smaller bar of facial soap.
I agree with the other posters regarding the shampoo/conditioner. I have used this at times but always needed to use additional conditioner.
By the way, the bar soaps are very nice, and even my SIL who has sensitive skin and allergies to many bar soaps loved it and had no problems at all using it!
