What do soft openings look like for shows? Rivers of Light?

Having written off the possibility for seeing the show at all for our April trip, I cannot tell you how excited I am about this article. It has me wondering though what a soft opening might look like… no FP+? Maybe get return tickets at the park in the beginning of the day like they tried for F! for a bit? Just a free for all with people lining up hours before?

I realize they'll probably have several nights/shows for CMs, maybe passholders and DVC members, a night or two for press and bloggers. Since we're there April 2-13, I'm hoping (not expecting) we can catch it before we leave, but as it is now, I don't have any days planned where we start and finish AK. Maybe I should move an evening to make that happen? I was looking forward to this more than anything else new because I love World of Color so much and with the May estimates, I had written it off.

No one will know until closer to opening. So still way too early to move anything around to plan on it. Won't know until an opening date is announced.

So you probably won't really know until about Feburary or March

I know we won't know anything for sure, but I was hoping people had some speculation about how it might work. Since the article postulates an April 22 opening with soft openings starting in March, that's a lot of soft openings we could make wild guesses about. I know we won't KNOW anything until closer, but I was hoping people might remember how any other shows kicked it off.
