What do I REALLY need to bring into the park?

We travel light, but something you might consider, is a dry t-shirt if you have kids. Kali River Rapids is a soaking ride. I always bring a dry shirt, and underpants for the kids.

Oh, yes, and money, lots of money or credit cars.(unless you are on the dining plan).

I bought each kid a small fanny pack so they can carry a few things of their own. It worked out great on our last Disneyland trip. On our WDW trip, they'll each have their own poncho (I bought the little 99 cent ones so they won't be too big to carry). They'll also have a little snack (bag of nuts, granola bar, etc.) and a little ID tag that I've made for both of them. My 11 year old likes to read the park maps frequently and he carries one of his own instead of constantly asking me for it.

My DH carries his own fanny pack with his wallet, etc. But most importantly, he carries a hard-sided case for his glasses. That way he has a safe place to put them when he goes on the rides. I'll be carrying my Baggallini with the camera, everyone's tickets, my wallet, lip balm, hand wipes, etc. (you now, typical mom stuff!).

All I really needed the last time I went was my money and room key card.
I use a medium-sized fanny pack, which I generally wear to the side - on my hip. That way it doesn't look *quite* as ugly.

What I'll have in my pack for our upcoming trip:
. Case with my glasses (only need them to see shows 'n' stuff)
. Money
. Room key card
. Pin Lanyard (I have a lot of pins, so it gets really heavy wearing it all day!)
. Poncho (because Mom will insist I bring it. I never use it though.)
. Small sketchbook or folded paper, plus a couple pencils & pens
