If staying offsite at a condo (such as Vistana or Cypress Pointe) what do I need to consider packing for a two week stay? Do we need to provide our own dishwashing soap, detergent, paper towels, napkins, salt, pepper, toilet paper, bath towels. . . Does anyone have a packing list of essentials? Thanks!

but I would say that even if you need those household type things, buy them there. Make a run to Wal-Mart. I wouldn't take valuable suitcase space. Plus, I've stayed at condos that provided just about everything and those that don't even have plates, etc. Find out what is provided as you evaluate your options.

salt & pepper, napkins if you dont want to use paper towels all the time, & dryer sheets or fabric softner you will definately need to provide yourself. I always bring my own paper/stryofoam plates so I wont have to wash as much too. Liquid hand soap if you dont like using bars or dishwashing soap.
since you are staying 2 weeks, I suggest bringing your own regular size bars of soap & shampoo/conditioner. I agree with heart4dis & just wait & buy the stuff there, the grocery stores in the area dont cost any more than the grocery stores where I live (other than goodings, stay away if you want to save or are on a budget), I suggest publix or winn dixie (I personally always shop at publix though) to me walmart isnt worth the drive & the one on 192 is ALWAYS frustratingly crowded, I'd rather just run into a grocery store (just my opinion).

I've stayed in several time shares all have provided:

1 small size dishwashing liquid (should last a week or more)
1 or 2 packets of dishwashing powder
1 or 2 boxes of single load tide
1 roll of papertowels
2 empty trash bags (may want to bring more)
several rolls of toilet paper (can ask for more when you run out???)
oven mits
1 dish towel
lots of bathtowels, but you must wash your own or let them hang dry, some resorts may allow you to call for exchanges midway thru your stay, you may want to ask yours
small hotel size hand & bath soap
1 or 2 hotel size shampoos

I agree with the Wal-Mart Suggestion. There is also a Sam's and Costco down there too. Since,Wal-Mart is so inexpensive, it is worth a trip before you go to the parks. Rain Ponchos are only 3.00(6.00 at WDW), Disney tee's are half the prices of the park and even those mister fans are only around 5.00 as opposed to 15 in the parks. Many Disney souveniers are much less expensive too.

I housekeeping is included with your stay, they will replenish the dishwashing soaps and such. I am sure they will give you more of anything if you catch them in the hall and ask. If I don't have housekeeping, I run to Wal-Mart and buy what I need.

Where is the closest Wal Mart to WDW? We will be staying at a time share and will do the grocery/walmart run too...I went to one on the way from the airport last year, it seemed far far away from WDW.
Thanks,
Gretchen
