My DD 16 and DS 14 laughed when I asked them if they wanted to go to the Pirate and Princess party in August. When I explained to DS 14 "But they'll be a pirate parade!", I thought he would die laughing.

My DSs 11 and 7 want to go so my DH and I are taking them. What do I do with the older two?

We're staying at Yacht Club so I thought that maybe we would allow them to spend the afternoon at MGM or Epcot? If I did this, I would let them know what time they had to be back in their room for the night and call them at various times to make sure that they are indeed in the room. Or would you make them come with us and be miserable? I don't know which one scares me more. LOL.

WWYD?

If they like the rides at MK this would be the perfect thing for them. Almost all rides are open and total walk-ons. They also give out massive amounts of candy. They don't HAVE to watch the parade or get their picture taken with princesses or (lol) go to Sebastian's dance party. They could go on Space Mtn 10 times in a row with no wait. They could concentrate completely on the rides and EASILY completely ignore everything to do with the party. Drag 'em along- they'll have a blast!

They could go to Disney Quest for the evening and one of you could take a bus to meet them and bring them home from DTD, if you don't want them outside at DTD at night. I think DQ is open until midnight. I would feel perfectly fine leaving them inside DQ for the evening. Or they could spend the evening at the Hotel pool and arcade-but I think the arcade games may be a bit babyish for their ages.I wouldn't make them hostage to the room though that would be terrible. At their ages I would also let them take the buses to and from another park. My DD 14 used the buses by herself. My first choice would be DQ.

If they do go with you I would cut them free at the party and let them go explore the rides by themselves while you enjoy the party.
