I just booked our reservations for FW for October:banana:. Silly me didn't think we could get shut out for a campground but I did. I had to book and extra day, coming in on a Wednesday instead of a Thursday. Problem is we probably will be coming in on Thursday. We could make it for Wednesday but would be setting up at 10pm and dont think the neighbors would appreciate hearing air mattresses being blown up then, or kids who will be excited and wound up. So, what do we do with the extra day. I dont mind paying but dont want them to cancel the reservation when we dont show. I guess I could call a few days before to arrange it. Anyone had to do this?

I also posted this question in the dining section but what happens if the Backyard BBQ or Spirit of Aloha dinners cancel due to weather? Are you refunded? rebooked? or scrod?

Once you have your campground ressies,,just wait a couple days, then call them back and cancel the one day you don't need, they'll do it without any problem or charges as long as you are within your cancel time frame.

We have to do that often when we make ressies at the Fort.

Don't know the answer to your other questions bout BBQ or Aloha, sorry, thats for someone else to answer.

Hope ya'll have the very grandest of a time !!pixiedust:

You can cancel the Wed night or come on in. I don't think 10pm is too late. IIRC we were refunded and had to re-book when the Aloha show was canceled due to cold temps. Not much chance of that in Oct.

Have a great trip. Will you be there for Halloween ?

Thanks, I dont know what we are going to do but seems like I have up until 5 days in advance to decide. I would like to talk DH into leaving early so that we can come in on Wed and be able to enjoy the whole day of Thursday.
No we will not be there thru Halloween. It will be a week earlier.

I did find out that the dinner show will refund if canceled. This poor kid though has everything not work out for her so we better not take chances. Maybe a character dinner instead.

Very excited to be going and extra excited to be camping. I just think it will add an extra to the trip.
