What do I do with a bunch of old Playstation 2 games?

I have a bunch of old Playstation 2 games sitting in a box in our closet. They will never get used again since we have the PS3 and it seems like a waste to have them hanging around. Ebay will be too much hassle to list each on one its own. Is there anyplace to just dump off like 50 games? I'm not expecting much $, but anything would be better than nothing.

Thanks!

Alot of the PS2 games are compatible with the PS3. If you just dont play them, try going online at gamestop and see the trade in value of them. I brought a bunch of games we dont play with and got 118.00 in store credit

If you really don't want to bother selling them, take them to Gamestop. But you'll make a LOT more money listing them on Amazon Marketplace or Ebay.

I've made almost $100 on Amazon Marketplace in the last month selling old video games/cds/dvds.

Do you still have the PS2 to play them on? I would call the local hospital to see if they can use them. When kids are in the hospital, it is nice for them to have something fun to do. You wouldn't get paid for them, but you could write it off as a donation and it would get them out of your house easily.

Gamestop will give you practically nothing for them. I have had fantastic luck on Craigslist selling old games. I go to Gamestop's website and see what they sell the exact game for, and then ask a tiny bit less. Have sold all of our old PS2 games, our DS games and our entire Wii setup plus games. I've been able to make pretty close to what Gamestop does. I don't think it's right that they sell a game for $10, but will only give me $1 for my trade in.

But, with all that said, if you don't want to bother with the trouble it takes to sell them yourself, just take them to Gamestop! :thumbsup2

Another vote for trying craigslist first. Super easy and no fees.

If they don't sell, try lowering the price, and as a last resort take them to gamestop.

If you don't want the hassle of selling them on craigslist or ebay. I vote Gamestop. My boys always trade in their games for store credit then buy a newer game.

DH took his to Toys R Us and got a little more than Gamestop and it was a store giftcard which could be used to buy anything, not just other games.

I wonder if that is a regional thing. Several times, we have asked amount we'd get at both places. For our games, Gamestop was higher. It may be worth it though, to get the ToysRUs gift card if you don't intend to buy more games.

I sell mine on half.com. Heck, I buy a lot of games through the site as well. Yes, you have to list them separately, but if you have a convienient post office it will be worth your time. I sometimes sell games for the same price I paid (if I bought it used, but PS2 games are prob not worth as much now). I bought a box of padded envelopes from Sams Club so the cost was low and I keep the envelopes near the box of games listed so that when I get an email saying something sold it's really easy to package it up for sending out.

If money is not a big concern I would check with a local children's hospital and donate them.

Take the time to list them on craigslist, or ebay..

You will get about 60 percent less if you go to gamestop. But it is instant store credit or cash(-%20)

I know you don't want to sell them individually, but I've done really well listing games this way on half.com.

If you don't want to sell them individually, try the Amazon video game buyback program. They won't offer a lot, but they provide a free shipping label and you can get amazon credit in your account fairly quickly. I've used Amazon buyback for video games, dvds, and books (you don't have to originally have bought them from Amazon).

If you have games left over, perhaps someone who has a PS2 in their rental home on the beach would want them. Contact a rental agency. I have several I use, pm me if you need them. I unloaded some VHS tapes earlier this year.
