What do certain WDW restaurants remind you of?

I just thought of a fun topic...so I'll start.

Whispering Canyon Cafe reminds us of.....Texas Roadhouse Restaurant. Which is better? Texas Roadhouse!! and costwise? I'd still pay for TR than Whispering Canyon OOP....

Crystal Palace doesn't remind me of any restaurant.

But it does make me feel as if I was in the moview Mary Poppins. :)

At one time just about any WDW restaurant was uniquely WDW, in food quality, service and atmosphere. Now, too many are more like chains like Perkins, Appleby's and Denny's except at two or three times the price. I know some people will say you can't get characters and themed decor at those places, but you are still there to eat.

This is VERY true!

Love the theming at Disney restaurants...and find it funny to compare Disney restaurants to chain places, especially since a lot of the chain restaurants are fantasy-themed, too.

Using an example quoted above: "Texas Roadhouse" is just a theme-restaurant, too. It was started by a guy from Colorado who opened the first restaurant in Indiana, and the company headquarters is in Kentucky...no "Texas" at all. "Old Chicago" is another place that is heavily themed...and is a good pizza/sports bar but...not from Chicago...again, it was started by some guys from Colorado.
