What do benefits come with an annual pass?

First of all let me just say how wonderfully helpful you guys have been!!! I just found this site last week and I've been up late every night lurking and making a list of all the tips I've seen. I think I have 40 pages so far!!

We're going in late June and we thought we might buy DH an annual pass to save on the room rate (5 nights at all stars music, I wanted movies or pop culture but they are booked). Another site said you get discounts on some restaurants but I can't find any info about it in the WDW site. Are there any other benefits for AP's? We won't be able to come back in the next year so we need to know if this is the best deal or not. TIA!!!!

While I would not encourage anyone to buy an AP strictly for the discounts, the amount you save on your 5 night stay may justify it.

The dining discounts vary location to location, and not all locations have a discount. And Dining Discounts generally are limited to table service restaurants.

Most are in the 10% range.

The best I can advise you for comparison is to price a 5 day park hopper and a non-discounted room rate. Then price your AP and AP room rate. See which way you come out less expensive.

You get discounts for you and 3 guests for DD PI, DisneyQuest and Water Parks. Lunch discounts at some table service restaurants - most of the resort restaurants, and most of the Epcot restaurants, most of the DD restaurants. Make a note that is LUNCH! Also, at the TABLE SERVICE restaurants! Discount at World of Disney - so buy souvenirs here. Discounts if ou do the Tours at the various parks. Discounts at golf (including mini golf) and the boat rentals.

Believe me, if you find yourself buying an AP, you will be thinking about returning before it expires!

AP room only discounts are limited in number and not always available. So don't buy an AP until you have an AP-discounted room reserved. You don't need to have the AP in hand to make a reservation for an AP-discounted room.

Keep in mind that AP perks/benefits are subject to change and there is usually a "new" group of perks on January 1 every year..
