What discount methods to look for when booking airfare?

I usually book through Spirit, they are pretty much always our cheapest option. We are $9 fare club members with them and I have installed Southwest Ding. Other than that I pretty much only see non-discounted airfare for the other airlines- is there something for them that would lower my quotes? Thanks!

Just the occasional fare sale, generally matched by competing airlines.

Oh, wait - there's something in another thread about signing up with AirTran; sometimes they send out coupons.

I use spirit also. I find them to be the cheapest and if your flexible and don't mind checking frequently you can get great airfare. I booked this Sept, a Friday to Friday for under $100 per person r/t. Not the best rate I've ever gotten but the dates really worked for us. One of the best deals I just booked. Jan '10, with their $9 fares, for $343 for 7 tickets, r/t. I've gotten this great deal 2 x's in the past.
