What did your Favorite Teacher teach?

I had three teachers that I really, really liked. Two were english and one was biology.

Sociology, Health and Gym. I had several favs throughout the years.:)

she taught me gifted American history & world history. she was also our Interact sponsor and my friend's mom. she brought us to my first concert -- Duran Duran in 10th grade :) she also had the Interact club and her students over to her house for projects and parties. fun stuff.

I had a few.

One was back in 3rd grade or there-abouts and did both English, Math, and Art.

Another was an English teacher in college who really made the stories come alive and got us involved.

I loved one of my Geology professors (actually a couple of them)

And there was an English/German teacher in elementary school that I loved.

It's really hard to pick a favorite -- I had a lot of teachers that I've really loved. :)

In high school - my 11th grade literature teacher, and my 12th grade English teacher.

In college - my astronomy professor. He was quirky, but so passionate about the subject. I have no scientific ability, yet always looked forward to this class.

Mine taught a variety of literature and composition classes in high school. Loved her to death!

My favorite teacher, Mr. Farnsworth, taught Latin. :)

I can think of three that I will never forget. The first was my Fourth grade teacher. She was older and had a reputation for being mean. She actually turned out to be one of the nicest teachers in the school. I remember during the school year, my parents wanted to take me with them to Spain for a week. They asked my teacher of it would be OK and she told them "he can get more out of a week in Spain than a whole year with me". The only thing she required was that I give an oral report to the class about the trip when I came back.

Next was my High School Sociology/Anthropology teacher. She had a double doctorate, had taught college, and had done a stint in Kenya with the Peace Corps, yet she was happy teaching HS students. She also took us on a really cool field trip to the zoo, and even had an end of year party at her house for us. She treated us much more like adults than many of the other teachers.

My most favorite was my HS German teacher. He was one of only two teachers I had for all four years. He was really cool. He played the guitar and accordian and would bring them to class and we would spend the hour singing folk songs and Beatles songs in German. At the start of my fourth year in his class, I felt out of my depth. There were only four students. An exchange student from Norway (who spoke fluent German) and two others who had grown up there and also spoke the language better than I did. The fourth was me. I went to my teacher and asked to drop the class. He talked to me at length about why I shouldn't, how I was a better student than I gave myself credit for, etc. I stayed in the class and had a great year.

Whew!! Sorry I rambled on so long!! :D

My favorite teacher in High School was Mrs. Dameron. She taught Algebra II and I actually made an A in her class. I had a 98 average in a subject I struggled with. I had previously made a D:eek: in Algebra I.

Scariest H.S. teacher was Mr. Favors - He had an artificial arm. He would wear a hook on it and grab our shoulder with it if you were talking. He was also known to throw it across the room.

My favorite college professor taught History - Very, very cute and had wonderful stories.

i had a few, one was 9th grade global studies, one was 10th grade english, and one was 12th grade english.

in college it was one of my political science professors. :)

I won't ask what grade you got, Eros!!:p :bounce:

I had two favorites: World History and English (12th grade)

I wasn't all that thrilled with any of my university professors

Would it surprise anyone that my favorite teacher in high school was my debate coach.

Mr. Scalon, my 10th grade Art teacher. He was my mentor and remains a good friend to this day. :)
