What Did You See, But Could Not Get?

What pin did you see at the pin event, but were unable to make a trade?

Twice I saw the #192 TDL 16th Anniversary Donald, but had no luck trading.
Also saw the #906 Minnie Cheerleader #1, but couldn't get it.
And I also saw #153 Retired DL Toon Town Goofy.

Describe for me the Minnie cheerleading pin, I have an extra I know of one of them, but I don't know which one. I went to PinPics to look up the one your looking for (and the one I have), but due to a "partners dispute" pinpics is not available.

Epcot Countdown pin...I found it really amazing that I went to
2 of the other events and the pins didn't sell out...this one the
pin sells out the first day! I have the DTD and MK one for trade and of course no one wanted to trade what I had...lol

How about a similar reply your last pin trading experience, where ever that may have been? What pin did you see, but were unable to make the trade?

These don't have to be super-duper holy grails. Sometimes it's just something a little HTF or old, or one you've never seen in person before.

Mine was CM 4th of July - Mickey's Retreat...but I got so many other pins I didn't think I'd ever own it didn't even seem important.

hmm, ok, the last pin I saw when I was at the parks and was unable to trade for was the Fast pass pin. I finally saw it in person for the first time. A manager had it in his pocket but told me that he had promised it to one of his castmembers. Oh so close.........

that were their own was where I saw some awesome pins...The tinkerbell CM
award pin... and the fast pass pin...Oh but the tink pin was so awesome. No go
on those pins for trade, they worked to hard for them. Oh.....and I saw a champion
pin trader pin at the Swan, on a CM at the Boat Dock. He said he had two, but he
wasnt trading either....being a small fish is poopey at times but I got my Mickey
on a Rocket and paul got his hats....so we had a wonderful trip..

I was at the Pin Event for 4 days and at WDW for 6 days and I made 2 trades out of books. And one of those trades was actually orchestrated by Lauri and SuzanneB. All I did was nod like one of those bobbing head dolls they give away at baseball games. I had high hopes of trading for some pins I have wanted forever and never found the nerve to approach anyone about them. Ultimately, I think I gave away more pins than I traded for. So in answer to your question Robyn, I had hoped to find:

• Wet Paint
• FastPass
• WDW Pin Trading Pin
• Downtown Disney Easter Egg
• Resorts Easter Egg
• Donald's Nephew Louie (Green Shirt with Green and White Hat)

I guess I am still searching for these pins.

The one pin I found and could not get was the Japan Mickey & Pals Peter Pan 100 Yrs. of Magic pin. Saw it twice but I had nothing for a 1000 LE from Japan. Oh well I'll keep looking.

WIth a hero like Mickey and my screen name, you would think I would have the Mickey's first, but I needed and found

but Jeff, I have to agree, the elusive Green nephew is still out there hiding from me too. I finally gave in and bought one with a green and black hat to go with his brotherw with the red and white hat and the blue and white hat. Only I know the truth, and now all of you.

Still looking for that Mickey for President too if any of you feel my Mickey pins are incomplete without it and want to help me out. Peggie

Lisa, I understand. As you know from the disabilities board, I use an ECV when at WDW due to a knee condition. I got part way back there & realize it would be too difficult to turnaround if I went further. Also, I made a comment earlier that the CMs who design the que lines should drive a WDW rented ECV through the line. As you know it is no easy matter to drive, to zig & zag back & forth, stop & go & not bite anyone's ankles. We arrived on Saturday. By Sunday morning I came right out & told the CM I was not driving through the line & that I would meet my party at the head of the line when they got there.

Judith you were fortunate to have someone else with you. I was on my own. I was in a puple Jazzy power wheelchair. I know I got yelled at by a few castmembers to move up closer but refused. I didn't want to get anyone's toes.

Mickey and Pals 100 years pin, LE 1000. I have to admit, I did have a pin the Japanese trader wanted, but it was my only one and wasn't for trade, my Pooh and Piglet LE100 Disney auction pin. I know that Sleeping Beauty is a hard one to get, but I didn't have an extra, and the Pooh and Piglet is one of my favorites, so no way was I going to part with it! I was looking for it, but other than that pin, he wanted a bunch of other pins that I didn't have for trade. I figure, it'll come to me when it's supposed to.
