Hi there,

I stayed at windsor hills in September but am wondering what is a *great* price for Windsor Hills?

How much did you pay and were you happy with that price?

What type of home did you stay (TH, Condo, # bedrooms etc, and time of year)?

Would love to go back again next year and maybe stay in a larger place but not sure if I can make it happen budget wise!

Thanks!

We booked a very last minute deal less than 3 days before our trip. We got a great deal, so we thought at the time...

$299 for the 3/3 townhome with splash pool
$ 95 cleaning fee
$ 51 for taxes
$ 0 deposit because it was such short notice

all totalling up to just about $450 for the week

However, I would not book that place again. Nothing supplied other than a roll of tp, a leftover box of dishwasher detergent and a box of garbage bags. Oh, and I think there were 2 or maybe 3 total tiny trial bars of hand soap. We were also required to wash and dry all towels before leaving on our day of departure, which is asking a lot (I think) when you have to check out by 10am.

I would have happily paid more to have cleaner accomodations with a little more supplied. We have always stayed at timeshare resort rentals and such and they always give soaps, tissues, plenty of tp to get you through the week, enough towels to go at least 2-3 days without having to wash them, etc. I had read great reviews about the site before I booked, which is why I never thought we'd need to worry about our stay.

I think last minute deals are expected to be rather low, since if not rented out at all, there is nothing at all brought in to cover costs. But if you are booking in advance, I would definitely ask a lot of questions and see if you can find reviews on each property you are considering. Windsor Hills is AMAZING as far as a property and really conveniently located to the parks, etc. I think you'll really love staying there, as I'm sure more often than not, the owners take good care of their properties.

None of the vacation homes/condos rented through vacationcentralflorida.com require a deposit. It was not waived on your rental because it was a last minute rental, that is their policy.

I don't think I got a great deal, but I am happy with the price. We need our space!

I rented a 4 bd/4 bath, with private pool, separate hot tub, game room and themed kids room. I needed a princess room!

9 nights for $1500 inclusive of all fees and taxes for early December. $167/night total for 5 people.

There are great deal to be had if you look for (and ask for) them. Lat January we found a 5 bedroom pool home in WH @ $1,000 for the week. Pool heat and taxes were included. Unfortunately the sleeping arrangements didn't work for our family.

We are staying in WH this Nov-Dec. Because of the fact we are going to be there over Thanksgiving rental costs are higher, but we are getting a 4 bed/4 Bath house with its own pool and hot tub, game room, theme room, computer with internet, and free phone calls (long distance and local), for 16 nights for $3000, this includes cleaning fees, taxes and pool heat. It is a Ton of money, but would have paid about the same for just hotel rooms. And with a house we also get the extra space, a kitchen our own pool, and game room, plus the comuntiy amenities. For us to stay on site at WDW for this time period was CRAZY, even staying at a value resort it was going to cost us 5 grand and deluxe villa would have been almost 20 grand:scared1::scared1:. So for us the price was worth it.

I think i got good places with good prices, it is so nice place,
In my package i got a private pool, separate hot tub, game room and a kids room, 4 bd / 4 bath rented.
we are 5 people stay 7 nights in that resort and all this with end of December week fees and taxes, total $ 1,200 US dollar. i thinks it is too cheap for me per person.

We're paying $988 for week in a 3 br townhouse next June. Paid roughly the same rate last year a similar townhouse, but stayed 9 nights. This price includes tax. We will do this again for the same amount of money. We've been very happy with our accommodations!

We're paying ~$950 for a 2 bedroom condo for 12 nights. This includes all taxes and fees. First time staying at WH, or really offsite at all in Orlando, so we'll see if we think it's worth it. That's a little less than $80 per night for a ton of room for us, so if it's clean and has enough dishes for us to eat off of, I will be extremely pleased. :thumbsup2

I booked through Florida Sun Vacation homes.

We're paying 1,233 for six people in 4-bed/4-bath pool house. GS loves Indiana Jones and that happens to be the theme in one of the bedrooms. He's also very excited about having his own room and bathroom.

There was no way we could come close to a hotel for that price and I think we got a great price. That's inclusive of everything (tax, pool heat, cleaning fee, BBQ, etc.)

Our family can't wait until June (just not sure after GS and rest of family see the private pool and hot tub whether they will want to leave and go to US and IOA :) ).

This is what we are paying:

$506.74

This is for a 2-bedroom condo.

6 nights.

May not be the lowest but I like the condo. This is the total with taxes, cleaning fee, etc.

We paid about $700 inclusive of taxes and fees in January of 2007 (so it's been awhile since then.) It was a 3 br 3 ba townhouse and everything was exceptionally clean and the owners were great! The gatehouse called to let them know we were checking in so they called a few minutes later to make sure everything was OK and we even received a thank you note for renting from them a few weeks later. I only wish their house was large enough for our January trip. :(

With all taxes and fees we paid $750 for a 3 bed/ 2 bath condo 7 nights Thanksgiving week.

We are heading to FL and WH on Saturday for our first stay there. We got our 3 bed/3 bath townhome with splash pool heat for $856 for the week. :woohoo: I can't wait to see it! I hope it lives up to the pictures on the site. I am hoping that I do not have to do towels! Would it be in the contract? I will have to get it out and reread again!

We'll see you there! Arriving Saturday, staying in a 6 bedroom 4 bath, just under $1000 for the week. Didn't get the pool heated, we're hardy northerners and if it's too cold, we'll swim in the resort pool which I believe is heated...
I am also hoping the photos are accurate. The resort itself looks fab!
I've been planning this trip since March. Can't believe it's finally here!

We are expecting snow on Saturday, so hoping all flights are on time! We have a ressie for Chef Mickey @ 5PM! Have a great trip and I hope our WH places are magical:wizard:

My girls loved the pool area at WH, it is real nice, clean, has a movie theater in the clubhouse (you have to book it), nice shop where you can buy sandwiches, overall a very relaxing area.

10 nights in a 3 bed/3 bath townhome, 10/20/10 - 10/30/10, ~$850. 4th time from the same owner. Neat, clean and awesome as always.

$950 for 12 nights ($80 per night), including all taxes and fees for a 3 bed 3 bath townhome.

It never hurts to ask for a discount. The worst than can happen is they say no!
