I'm curious what you have ordered at these restaurants for your entree and dessert, as well as if on another trip you would order ir again! Thanks!!:goodvibes

Sanaa

Mara:

Chefs De France

Tutto Italia

At Chefs for lunch, DH and I each ordered soup. He got the lobster bisque, and I got the French onion soup. Both were fabulous. We also shared the bacon/onion flatbead thing, and it was really rich and delicious. We would totally order both again.

Stopped into Mara to try the Zebra Domes since everyone raves about them. I honestly wasn't impressed. I'd rather eat a premium Mickey ice cream bar!

We only went to 2 of these but here is what we thought:

Chefs de France

Thon poelle aux olives et pommes allumettes (Tuna) - the sauce was tasty but the fish was too tough so I'm trying something else this year

Plat de Cote de Boeuf au Cabarnetavec pates (short ribs) - My DH licked the plate clean and loved these.

Crepe a la pomme et cannelle, glace vanille, caramel jus de pommes - these were good but I'm going to try something else this year

DH had a sorbet with green tea fruit salad which he said was the best dessert of our entire vacation but I don't see it on the allears menu now.

Mara -

Turkey Ciabatta with couscous salad - this was really good and I'm going to order it again this year.

I let my DD get a frozen strawberry fruit bar with my dessert credit and she said it was delicious. This year I'm going to try Zebra domes.

Short Ribs

Chef de France wasn't my favorite resturaunt.
But it wasn't the worst either. The worst was Chef Mickey, where the food makes you feel sick. I drank so much that I was kind of being a bad role- model for my kids. The one that was my faovrite was the palace dining.
OF COURSE!

Chefs de France we went to lunch and we will go again on our next trip. I had Cassolette d'escargots (loved it and dip the bread on the garlic butter) and my main course was beef short ribs briased ...I love both and will order both when we go back in December (hoping they dont change the menu). My husband got the cheese sample and Half of an all-natural rotisserie chicken, basil-flavored mashed potatoes (my 3 year old tried this and loved this dish).

Mara - main course -Fried Shrimp Platter and Zebra domes (I loved the Zebra domes).

Thank you both!! It is so hard to decide on restaurants, let alone what to order!!

What a shame that chef mickeys was bad. It used to get such great reviews, now so many of them are mediocre at best.

Yumm, I can't wait to eat at Mara, everything sounds really good for counter service!! I think if I skip the escargot I will be happy at chef de france. Thank you!:goodvibes

Would love to hear more opinions!!:woohoo:

I dined at Chefs de France and ordered the Lobster Bisque (good, though I've had better), Beef Short Ribs (very good), & Profiterolles (yummy!). I'd order all three things again unless something else just struck my fancy.

At Sanaa...DH ordered the shrimp w/green curry and the short ribs. He said that is the ONLY thing he would ever get there because it was so phenomenal. I ordered the Tandoori Lamb. I would NOT order it again but not because it was bad...it just wasn't exciting enough for me. I would order the shrimp w/green curry and chicken w/red curry. That is more my style. I also ordered a side of paneer spinach. I would also not order this again. It was just boring spinach with what tasted like tofu. We also ordered the app sampler for 2. YES!! I would order this again...yummy!!!

Chef's...we ordered the onion soup and the escargot and yes, we would order these again. We can't remember what else we had so I guess no, we wouldn't order that...or wait...maybe we would!! LOL!!

Our last trip we ate at Les Chefs de France and Tutto Italia and we have ADRs for both during our next trip. So, yeah, we liked them both. A lot!

At Les Chefs de France DH and I had the Salade de Chevre Chaud - Baked goat cheese with walnuts, fresh grapes, tomatoes, endives and arugula salad and the Salade maison - selected greens, house vinaigrette dressing for appetizers. We thought both were good but mine (the baked goat cheese salad) was REALLY good! For our entrees we both chose the Filet de boeuf grille, sauce au poivre noir Gratin Dauphinois et haricots verts - Grilled tenderloin of beef with a black pepper sauce original potato gratin of Savoy and green beans. The filet was cooked wonderfully and the potato gratin on the side was lovely (well, anything with potatoes and cheese is ok by me)! I thought the green beans were overcooked though. For dessert I chose the Profiteroles which were amazing and DH had the creme brulee, also very good.

At Tutto Italia DH had the Caesar Salad and I had the Fresh "Bufala" Mozzarella. Both were dressed nicely and had good flavor. A great start to the meal! My entree was the Penne Caprese which had nice full flavor. DH had the Lasagna al Forno and thought it was very nice but huge! My dessert was the Chocolate and Hazelnut Torte which was just okay. Nothing too special about it. DH had the Tiramisu, also thought it was nothing special though. Overall, we were very happy with Tutto but will try something else for dessert this time!

The only one I"ve been to is Tutto Italia. I had the bufala mozzarella, lasagna, and lemon sorbetti. I would order every last bit of it again, though I'd like to try the canneloni next time if it is still on the menu. The tomatoes & mozzarella was fresh and perfectly dressed to enhance the flavors without masking them (I often find tomatoes & mozzarella to be too heavily dressed), the lasgana a perfect balance between sauce, meat, cheese and pasta, and the lemon sorbetti a light, tangy finish after the heavy entree.

I am leaning heavily toward trying the short ribs or the lasagna. Thank you!!:)

Thank you so much!! Sanaa is such an unknown as I have never had a curry dish, but I like a lot of things, so the shrimp and chicken sound good! Thank you for the warning about the spinach, I have read the same thing in other reviews. Yummm onion soup!! Thank you for taking the time to answer.:thumbsup2

Yummm your choices sound wonderful! Thank you so much.

When I ate there in on Sept 25, 2008 I had the "Demi poulet fermier roti, pommes puree au basilic et tomate braisee" or half of an all natural roasted chicken, basil mashed potatoes and braised tomato. See below:

Hands down, the best meal at WDW I have EVER had! OMG it was DELICIOUS! I wasn't even all that hungry which is why I didn't order an appitizer but I finished EVERY single bite. It was soooooo good. I would order it in a heart beat but I would make sure next time, to be hungry enough to try the onion soup I hear so much about.

I'm so sorry I missed responding to you earlier! Perhaps I was day dreaming about that wonderful sounding salad and lasagna!!! Yummm! I am also glad to hear the profiteroles were good. Whenever I have had them before it was more like a cream or custard filling. I wasn't quite sure about the ice cream. Thank you!!

Chefs de France:
French Onion Soup... AMAZING! Yes, will be rodering again!
Tomato and Goat Cheese Flatbread..another amazing, and WILL be getting it again in Sept!
Short Ribs... good but not WOW. might possibly get it again but there's other things I want to try

Tutto....
Sachettas.. will definitely order again
prosciutto & melon... yes! one of the best we've had

Mara: We have had breakfast there once, it wasnt the best. Another time we had the fried shrimp and it was blech.

Chefs De France I just did the French Menu lunch 3 weeks ago, had the french onion soup (delish), the ham and cheese quiche with salad (awesome) and the profiteroles with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce (to die for). For dinner DH and I shared the bacon onion flatbread (amazing) and he had the mac and cheese (lick the plate good) and I had the chicken with roasted tomato and basil mashed potatoes (I enjoyed it, hubby didnt) The creme brulee was blech

Tutto Italia My favorite place! I had lunch there 3 weeks ago and had the best proscuitto and mozzarella sandwich with a three layer chocolate marscapone dessert...I died and went to heaven on this lunch! For dinner (we have been there twice) Dh had a beef pasta dish that was more stroganoff instead of meat sauce and the other time he had the pasta in a sausage tomato sauce (out of this world) both times he had the tomato salad and pasta fagiole and both were great! The first time we went I had the bucatini in a cream sauce with pancetta and peas and it was delish! The second time I had a pumpkin torellini in a butter sage sauce, it was rich but loaded with flavor! For desserts we have had the berries and marscapone cream and the bucci with the chocolate and apricot preserves...they were just so so
