I got my G this past summer.
I was asked to do all of the things that I was requested to do in my original driving test (to get my G2) such as;
- driving in regular traffic
- parking (reverse, parallel, up hill / downhill)
- obeying all traffic rules
The G test makes you re-do all of these things but adds the highway aspect.
- enter a highway / leave a highway
- drive with care
- change one lane over (from the right lane to middle lane and then back).
Some helpful hints for people taking this test would be;
- look in your mirrors A LOT (like your neck should hurt at the end of the test HEE HEE)
- when you enter the highway get on the ramp with a speed of 80 -90 KM, when you enter the right lane of the highway make your speed up to 100 KM
- when your asked to move over to the middle lane speed up to about 105-110 KM, but continue to drive ACCORDING to traffic conditions
Hope this helps a little bit
