What did you forget to do on your cruise?

Please tell me that I am not the only one. Getting ready for cruise #2 (in 18 days!) and laughing at myself for a couple of things I completely failed to do on our first cruise. One, I was in such a hurry to get to Castaway Cay that I left the map provided by DCL in our cabin. I figured no big deal, I could get one on CC but nope, none available. Unfortunately that had the schedule for photos with the characters, and once we got there I was so mesmerized (apparently!) by the beach and hammock and food and drink that I totally forgot to get pics of our family (particularly the kids) with some of the Disney characters in their beach attire. I could have kicked myself!

I also totally forgot about Mickey bars. Never saw one on the four-day cruise or I am sure I would have remembered, but got home and felt a little bit cheated of that experience. Free Mickey bars for the asking and I forgot to ask! Duh.

I guess I should add "map to CC" and "Mickey bars" to my reminder list.

i know what you mean about the mickey bars, i kept forgetting to order them also. the other thing i forgot to do was make ressies for palo brunch, i can't believe that one myself. this cruise coming up i'll be in line before i eat lunch or maybe i'll go to lunch and deligate the ressie rush to my daughter. can't leave all that shrimp unattended.

I also forgot to get photos of the kids with the characters in bathing suits on CC. I think the hammock was the better end of the deal though, one of my favorite things about the cruise. We did get lucky and get to see Mickey on our way back onto the ship.

I did remember to order Mickey bars from room service, twice in fact. They didn't taste right to me, I don't know why? I thought maybe it was because of the movement on the ship playing tricks on my tummy. I ordered one on our last night at our main seating dinner and I didn't end up eating that one either, didn't hit the spot. The gelatto (sp?) at Palo was perfect, however. Perhaps I just don't like Mickey bars anymore, has Nestle always been the brand? Seems like they were a thicker type 10 years ago (in the parks).

The Mickey bars can be ordered from room service...a fact I didn't know before reading this board.

So that is the problem! Too bad, they used to be dreamy. Dove bars are as close as you can get to Magnum bars in the states (nothing tops a Magnum, nothing :hyper: ). Thanks for filling me in.

I forgot to go to the napkin folding activity, and it sounded like fun. I forgot to make time to sit in the comfy deck chairs on deck 4 (while it was still light outside) and just watch the ocean go by. I was afraid I'd fall asleep after dinner. I got so busy packing the last night that I forgot about the farewell in the atrium. :( I really wanted to be part of that. But it's not possible to do everything, is it? ;)

I forgot I was on a diet!

Also..................... I had to giggle............. couldnt eat a "Dove Bar" over here.................... its a tablet of SOAP!Nat

Didn't got to Rainforest room, forgot about Pub night and til we meet again in atrium, skipped lunch nearly everyday, never went to Topsiders, never went to Cove Cafe, forgot that concierge let you order from Palos (oh, all the pizzas and souffles I missed.) and forgot to watch the sunrise on the top deck or to walk around in the moonlight.
So much to do, you just have to cruise again!

DH and I planned to get a week long pass to the Rainforest room. Looked it over on the tour and fell in love. There was a line at the counter when we came out and since we knew we could sign up for that at any time let it go. We never went back :( Too many other things going on. I don' t regret it, but I think I will make a point during the 10 day to at least for one day.

one thing I forgot on the ship when we arrived at CC, was the goggles I bought. If you plan on banana boating....make sure you bring goggles, the water is EXTREMELY salty!!! You will definetly get it in your face and let me tell you, it burns! LOL

I DID make my Palo brunch ressie as soon as I got on board and was glad I did, the line was short and I got the time I wanted.
It was yummy... I was still full at dinner time!

Other than that I didn't do too much in the way of scheduled activities! There were events that I probably would have enjoyed but I was too busy relaxing!

Two things I really enjoyed were watching the Key west sunset from deck 10 and my Jaimaican coffee at the Cove Cafe.

I completely forgot to attend high tea, and I am ashamed to say that I had made a reservation.
Next time I will bring tape and make sure that I tape the things that I really want to attend on the mirror in the cabin.....

We forgot to order from room service. On our next cruise we will definitely be ordering the cheese platter in the afternoon before dinner and also possibly the cookies and milk before bed. I forgot all about that on the last cruise. I will also be making a cabana massage on Castaway Cey that last day. I can't imagine a more perfect place for a massage. Hopefully we will get to see some of the first run movies on board this time, we did'nt see any last time.
