What did you enjoy at Columbia House?

We went to Columbia Harbor House once while on the Keys to the Kingdom Tour. I don't remember that much, but I remember that the foods were a lot different than most counter service places. That gives families another healthy option or something other than the usual burger and fries.

Enjoy your trip!

We love CHH and it is a must stop for every trip. It is actually the first counter service we go to on our first visit to the MK each trip to WDW. It is quiet and has great food. Like many other people we love to sit upstairs and people watch.

We usually get the chicken and fish combo.

But we really miss the bread bowls. We loved the clam chower in a bread bowl.

I love the fish and DD's love the chicken. The apple pie is a nice change in desserts from most of the other cs places.

The best thing about CHH though is the fact that they have sweet tea. It's the only place that I know of in all of WDW where you can get brewed sweet tea. I often stop there just for some tea.

I go for the Chowder also...

I remember when they used to have fried shrimp but that is dating myself back to the 70's...

Must try tuna next time I go...

Do you know if they also have unsweetened tea???

They do also have unsweetened tea. I believe they brew it especially for Yankees. Just kidding. Sort of.

YANKEES????????????????

Sorry... Mets fan here!!! :lmao: (I had to....)

But thanks for the info!!! I sort of remember having that last time I was there and glad because I can't do soda on really hot days...

The sandwiches are great---a super respite from deep-fried, cheese-covered, cholesterol-on-a-bun.

The cobb salad was good.....that was in the picture.....think thats the name...

I ALWAYS have the clam chowder.....sometimes I just stop in for that.

I just pay for it....dosen't pay to use DDP....if I just get the soup.

Their air-conditioning, and the quiet place to escape the MK crowd was heavenly (and the menu is not too bad either... as mentioned above.);)

We had a wonderful lunch at the Columbial Harbor House a couple weeks ago. It was included in our Keys to the Kingdom backstate tour ($60 bucks) It's a 5 hour tour that gives you alot of Disney history and takes you behind the scenes at MK including the underground Tunnels! My favorate thing at the restaurant was the vegetable soup. I was reeeeeelly goood.

I'm going on the tour in January and would like to know if lunch is during the tour or after?

Also on the tour did you get to choose or was it a set menu?

Love CHH, it's a must-do for us every trip. We have been twice already this year and leave again in 6 days :woohoo:! We just can't stay away from that place. LOL :lmao:

I have had the ham sandwich, fish and chicken there. It was all really good. Gotta agree, they do have good fries.

My favorite thing of all has got to be the sweet tea!! Being a southern girl, it's one of the only places that we can get it!

This time, I want to try one of their salads. They look so fresh and yummy!!

We always sit upstairs and usually it's empty up there. We like to go up there away from all the noise to get a little break at lunch time.

We loved the Anchors Aweigh sandwich and the fish and chips!

The NE clam chowder at CHH rocks!! :thumbsup2 I stop in on every trip just to get it (regardless of the temperature outside)!! :rotfl:

Lighthouse sandwich and vegetarian chilli combo Basically this is half a veggie sandwich (I think its some sort of hummus and salad) and a cup of chilli and is the most amasing food I've ever tasted! Always go here just for this!
The Lighthouse sandwich and the vegetarian chili at CHH are two of my favorite things to eat at WDW. I get cravings for that sandwich!

Also on the tour did you get to choose or was it a set menu?

For the Keys tour, they do have a menu they give you at the beginning. You choose what you want before the tour starts. Then they have it waiting for you. They also assign seats during lunch.

I'm so excited that I found this thread! Sweet tea, cobb salad, hummus...!!! How have I missed this all of these years? :confused3
A few questions...What are the Anchors Aweigh sandwich (fish?) and the Lighthouse sandwich? I can't wait to try this restaurant and get a seat up on the second floor as many have recommended! :goodvibes Thanks! :goodvibes
