what did you eat at Akershus and enjoy?

I had the pasta dish and it was REALLY good. The best thing there was the dessert. Rice cream sounds boring, but it was AMAZING!!!!!!!!

My warning about this restaurant is that the main dish portions are quite small, so don't skim on the appetizer buffet.

thanks so much for all the good suggestions. I think we will give it another try. Unfortuanately we aren't doing park hoppers so we will have to go to BB the day before the princess meal, maybe her hair will still stay up overnight.

I am trying to decide between eating the Breakfast or Lunch/Dinner here. Has anyone eaten both meals and prefer one over the other? I do realize that we are paying for the Princesses and smiles on our children's faces, but would like to enjoy our meal as well!

We have done dinner here and we really enjoyed the experience but found the food to be just ok.

Breakfast this year was wonderful. Couldn't fault the food or the princesses.
Breakfast was definitely the better for us for food. I know some people moan about it but if you don't like cold lox, salami and pastries then maybe Norwegian cuisine isn't for you and this is the World Showcase.:goodvibes

Thank you for the info. I guess I just have to decide if my family will enjoy the breakfast offerings or the dinner ones better. I don't know why this is such a tough one for me to pick! All my others reservation where much easier to decide on. Thank you again for the info!

My cousin who has done BB with her daughter says it will stay up...and you will have glitter for days :rotfl:
Just don't go in the pool!

REALLY dumb question here....Is the salmon cooked? I saw a pic of the salmon on the buffet and it looked completely raw! :headache:

That should be smoked salmon on the buffet. Norwegians tend to cook their fish if it isn't smoked. :)

Quick question: is there a children's menu? for this for lunch/dinner?
thanks Jill

Does anyone know if you can get the BBQ pork sandwich for Dinner, it just looks like it's on the Lunch menu. That sounds like maybe the best option, or at least pretty safe.

That sandwich is delicious!! I did not care for the buffet of cold strange stuff but I loved my sandwich. My MIL got chicken and she loved that as well.

We done the princess breakfast here and loved that food and service as well.
