What did you do?

It's been quite a while since we took a 4-night cruise that included Nassau but we just walked around the city. It was fun to see some of the sites and do the traditional tourist shopping thing.

Self-guided walking tours can be a lot of fun!

We took the 2 hour historic city taxi tour, first thing when the ship docked...it was excellent. They let you out at all the cool sites to explore and take photos.

Then we visited Senor Frogs and the straw market, got a recommendation for a great lunch spot. Had lunch at Conch Fritters, about a block or so away from the straw market. It was very good, nice and relaxing..big open windows. After lunch we did more shopping and walking around the town. We went to the pharmacy to purchase postcards/stamps, filled them out, mail box is very close. Walked to hard rock cafe. Checked out all the liquor stores..made several puchases..lol. Back to the ship to drop everything off..came back out for more shopping..lol.

Found a great filipino restaurant right next to the straw market..had some lumpia..wow..delicious. Next time we will have full meal there.

We didn't get a chance to go over to Atlantis..will do that next time.

A great day..lots of fun. We talked with the locals along the way..they are very nice..enjoyable. Oh..and we tried the local beer...Kalik.

The first time we went to Nassau we went to the straw market but we were constantly harrassed by locals. The second time we stayed on the ship.
