what did you all do for your at home receptions

I am having an excape wedding and I want to have a party for when we get back,like a month after we get back!

What did you all do for yours or pla on doing?

Hey Lynn! Haven't talked to you in a while!!


We actually held our "at-home reception" at a local barn type place that also houses weddings, receptions, big parties, etc. It was beautiful! We had a local bar-b-q place cater it and I had a lady make a cake with the little icing mickeys on it and I used my disney cake topper. We did the white linen table clothes and centerpieces. We also hired a DJ. It was pretty informal but everyone had a good time. I brought a TV and had the wedding playing on it. I didnt have my photos from Randy yet so I took some of the better photos we had taken on our cameras and displayed them on the tables at the entrance. I also had everyone sign a guestbook. It worked out real well!

We had a party at a hall 6 weeks after the disney wedding. We decorated it ourselves and had a DJ and a caterer. It was a great time and informal except I wore my wedding dress.
