We were in Liberty Tree Tavern having lunch this past weekend (sat.) and a family was brought in and sat at the table next to ours. A member of the Dream Team was with them and stayed and ate with them. She didn't know them, as the conversation was all about them...where they were from, how old the kids were, how they liked school, what the parents did for a living, etc. The first tiime I noticed them really was when the CM was telling them something about how after lunch they would be going somewhere to do something. I wasn't really paying attention at that point...that made me take notice. Nothing else was said while we were there for me to get an idea as to what they had won.

But what else could they have won for them to be escorted like that?

This might not have been a dream at all. There's a tour that you can book (Very expensive) where you have a CM exclusive to your family/party. They go around provide info, etc...kinda like a personal shopper, except it's a personal tour guide.

She was from the Dream Team though, she had that shirt on.

I suppose they could have won something like grand marshalls in the parade and already have had the lunch ADR's :confused3 Dh insists I'm nuts that I assume everyone walking with a YOAMD cast member is the castle winner, so I try to think of other possibilities

No, no plaid vest or jacket. She had on the tan outfit adn the YOMD logo on the shirt.

we were escorted when we won the grand marshel. but our lady didn't have a YOAMDs shirt on.

Just to let you know, the private tour guides have a "summer" costume that does not involve the plaid vest. It is just a white shirt and blue shorts. A lot more comfortable in the heat than the full get up.

Having said that, Dream Squad CMs wear a light blue shirt with "Walt Disney World" on the right hand side. It is worn with khaki pants or shorts. The YOMD logo is ONLY on the white vest that they wear during prize distribution.

If it was a Dreamer, they may have been just spending time with the family in their super greeter role. Apparently Dream Squad CMs have a lot of flexibility with what they can do - as opposed to other front line cast members. I have heard of them riding attractions with families and doing all sorts of fun stuff. However, I have never heard of them actually eating with a family, especially at a table service restaurant. Not to say that it is not done, just unlikely. That would be stretching the limits of what they are allowed to do.

We saw them give the Castle Stay on Friday in the Land Pavilion. I also have a photo of the family that won somewhere in my 500 pictures!
That is my son with them!
