What did I miss at BOMA

I bet that's it. The food at breakfast was ok, just not outstanding. Couple that with the poor service...and eh, it was nothing special.
The really sad thing is, we had reservations for breakfast and dinner, but after the first dining experience we decided to skip the dinner. I wish we had given it another shot! Next time we'll know better.

We have been here a couple of times and enjoyed it thoroughly. Can't wait to go back in September. Especially that we are bringing family that has never been to Disney at all. popcorn::

Why do you think they make so many different flavours of Jell-o? Everyone is different.

My family loves Boma. In our opinion it is the best buffet around.

I would recommend people try it themselves and form their own opinion. Don't let a few bad reviews change your plans.

I loved Boma! the food is awesome if you like trying new things and i loved the atmosphere. It was a little noisy but it wasn't overwhelming. We're going again on our trip in July ! :)

the soups are all wonderful. Pretty much worth the cost on their own.

I'm not even a real "soup" person.....and I have to have at least 2 servings when I am there. I actually go back for seconds of the chicken pepper pot soup....INSTEAD of dessert:upsidedow

The salads are wonderful...different things....I would never think to have watermelon rind salad....but it was delicious.

edit....last time I went...there was no chicken pepperpot soup.....the lady must have sensed my extreme dissapointment...as I stood there with my mouth dropped open. CM said she had some in the back....OMG I loved her:)

We went this past May because of all the hype on this board. It was just ok, with the exception of the soups. We both loved them. Probably won't go back. We did love seeing the lodge. We had never been there before.:thumbsup2

I think it is just a matter of taste - and that being said - you should probably try it once and see for yourself. We ate there last Sept and no one in our party (me - DH - DS15 - DD12) enjoyed it. Not even the Zebra Domes which we were really excited to try. Everyone is different.

We first went to Boma when it was the hot place to go on the boards. We thought it was okay, but didn't quite agree with the rave reviews. I like spicy and unusual foods, so it wasn't that we are hamburger and chicken nugget kind of people. Even the zebra dome, which I thought from what I read here had to be the most wonderful dessert ever invented, disappointed us. Sure it was good, but not the best thing I'd ever tasted.

We liked Jiko a lot more and still consider it the best meal we've had at Disney.

Boma was one of our favorites last month. Most of our sit down meals were a bit of a disappointment last trip, but we loved Boma.

I don't get the Boma hype either. We ate there last year and wondered what we had missed. It was pretty much standard buffet food flavored differently.
