What deck do you pick and why?

On some disney cruises as well as other cruises there have been odors and wetness issues sporadically on the lower decks. Does anyone repeatedly do deck 1 or 2? Your comments? This would be on the refurbished Wonder. Thank you!

We have always done deck 6 or higher, midship, mid-aft or aft. I like being higher for views, noise, and convenience. Plus it helps with seasickness. Never done decks 1 or 2, although we have sailed with friends who love those decks.

We've only been on deck 2 on both the Wonder and Magic. That's "our" home. I've never noticed any odors/wetness issues on that deck more than any other deck. Yes, I've traversed other decks (participating in may FE groups), and while I've seen various rooms open with fans blowing here and there (unusual occurrence) it's been on many decks, not just deck 2.

Forgot to mention that we have had the occasional smell from the drains in the bathrooms -- just pour a glass of water into it, and be sure to bring a room freshner to hang in the bathroom. Works every time. We've never had any water problems leaking or wetting anything though.

Odors and wetness (fans constantly blowing in hallways) deck five of the wonder. Not a one off. Took one cruise aft deck 5 and another cruise forward deck 5 within three months of each other. Same problems both places.

So I'm gathering it's not always on the lowest decks of a cruise ship. Thank you for your replies!
