Thank you for your reply.....I should have said that I am a US citizen.......so I just need the test I guess. You will also need to sign an attestation form, either through your airline website or a printed out version. This form states that you have taken a covid test and have a negative result. You will get a link to this form when your check in opens.
If you have under 18's you as the parent or guardian will sign the form on their behalf and sign that you will test them 3 to 5 days after arrival in USA. It is an honor system that you will do this testing.

ok...Thank you for explaining that!It makes no difference if you are a US citizen, the attestation form is part of the process for the covid test requirement by the US Government. The only thing different for US citizens is that you dont have to have a vaccine cert. As a non US citizen I do.
So you look for a testing site in Barcelona?
Our insurance company won't reimburse if it the test is for travel purposes.A PCR or NAAT test is also acceptable, although Antigen is the easiest. We plan to use the supervised at-home antigen test from eMed. Our insurance reimburses the cost.
Be mindful of the hours they are open, especially on weekends. I talked to a gentleman today who planned to get the rapid test before their flight, but the testing center didn't open until later in the day.thats one option, yes. Nearly all airports have onsite rapid testing centres, so you can go there the day before your flight.

As of January 15, 2022 (for tests purchased after that date), US insurers must reimburse the cost of 8 at-home tests per covered individual per month, regardless of the reason for the test; however, if they provide their own preferred at-home testing option they are allowed to cap the reimbursement of non-preferred providers at $12 per test, so you may still be responsible for some portion of the cost for the test (the 6-pack eMed tests are $25+shipping per test). Our insurance company won't reimburse if it the test is for travel purposes.
Interesting. Our insurance has this online: Please note that not all at-home diagnostic tests may be covered. Examples include tests solely for travel or employment purposes, tests not considered medically necessary, and non-rapid at-home tests.
Having said that, my insurer has always reimbursed the full cost of supervised at-home tests, even before the mandate, so your mileage may vary.
Ahhh. My bad. I read into it a little bit more, and it varies state-by-state. The federal guidelines don't require reimbursement when used for employment, return-to-school, or recreational purposes, but many states (like my state) do require it for any reason. Having said that, I'd argue that given the prevalence of asymptomatic COVID, any test could be justified as a diagnostic test.Interesting. Canada just scrapped tests for vaccinated people as of April 1st. I am hoping US follows suit.Welcome to our world, travelling to US from the U.K., the US still have these tests. It’s a pain in the *** and pretty pointless, hopefully they will be scrapped soon.
A lot of people are using Breathe Assured, it’s an excellent service. Online nurse in South Africa.
I thought they stopped requiring testing for people entering Canada, but for boarding a ship, you still must test?Canada just scrapped tests for vaccinated people as of April 1st. I am hoping US follows suit.
Yes as of right now it's regarding entering Canada. The persons post was about needing a test to enter United States so that's what I was replying to.I thought they stopped requiring testing for people entering Canada, but for boarding a ship, you still must test?
