What colors match Orange for a living room

Umm i would say brown or cream

Can you be a bit more specific. What exactly is orange? The couch, the walls, the carpet? Also, what shade of orange? There is the international warning sign orange, and then there are softer orange colors.

My DDs room is a cantelope/orange color and I found a shade of teal that I love with it. If you go to Target.com and search for "Flamingo Beach Collection" they have the striped duvet cover in the tones I used.

What type of orange is it? Crayola orange, rust/burnt orange... And what style do you love?

My sister painted her room orange. She did this really cool thing where she painted it one shade, then she painted another shade on top of it and did something to make it look really cool. It goes perfectly with lime green.

I was going to say lime green also, but it really depends on the type of thing she's trying to match and if it's modern or not. I see a lot of nice greens paired with orange but it is mostly modern stuff.

My DD's room is also orange/canteloupe. I used a very pale orange as the base coat (it is almost peach colored) and then ragged on the orange. It looks very nice. She also has a lot of lime green in the room for contrast.

I'm still trying to get my brain around an orange living room ....

I would grab some paint samples that you think are close to the color you wish to compliment. Bring them home and pick the closest one. Then, go back to the store and see if you can find another color that looks good with that paint sample.

Good luck!

I'm having a tough time coming up with a color that doesn't go with orange. Red or yellow and orange are great together. :thewave: I've always liked fuschia and orange. As has already been said, green contrasts nicely with orange. Maybe purple and orange wouldn't really work??

We have our living room painted orange and cream and greens go very well. We painted our trim white and put up a white ceiling fan. I really like the color but it was a dramatic change!

Our bedroom is burnt orange, and we have espresso brown and white accents.
