To wear with a bridesmaid dress that is "Wisteria" from David's Bridal. It is a lavender color and the dress is floor length and I am hoping to just wear black flats I already have. I feel like all colors look weird. The bride said wear whatever you want, and I am already spending a small fortune on this wedding so trying to avoid dyed shoes.

But every shoe I try on looks weird with the color. Please help fashionistas!

I like silver with lavender

I would say silver, pewter, or grey!

Presuming this is a full-length dress, if you wear heels, less of the shoe will show, so the color becomes less important.

If you have to buy shoes, the most versatile possibility is probably taupe, but taupe shoes are hard to find these days, so my second choice would be pewter. True silver are likely to be just as "never wear again" as dyed to match would be, unless you are a) the sort of person who either goes out on formal occasions often, or b) is comfortable wearing blingy things during daylight hours.

The problem with wearing black flats with a formal lavender dress is that it is a season mismatch. A formal lavender dress screams "spring", but solid black flats look kind of wintry. Strappy black sandals would probably work better, if you had to choose black.

I was in a wedding a few years back we wore a davids bridal periwinkle color & we wore silver. The MOH were really rhinestoney, mine looked liked they were dyeable but I bought them off the rack. We all wore the same color short dress but different styles.

Definitely not black! I agree with others - I'd go with silver. Not blindingly metallic silver but more matte or muted. If you're going with something strappy then silver, cream, ivory, white or taupe would probably work. Black, brown or navy would be on my "absolutely not" list with wisteria. Basically, I'd go lighter than the dress but not darker - I think dark shoes would stand out way too much.

Just had a look at Wisteria from David's Bridal. Silver or dyed to match would look nice. :)

I wore silver strappy sandals for my sister's wedding 8 years ago and found a lot of outfits to wear the sandals with again.

Silver or cream would be very pretty with wisteria.

David's has some shoes online for $14.99.
