Hey guys n gals!

Arriving in Orlando for an 8 night stay from the 3rd of March, and still wondering just how much cold, or at least chilly weather clothing to pack, the only long trousers I was planning on bringing were the ones I'd be wearing on my flight.

In everyones experience, should I bring another pair as well, I will bring at least one hoody and a light jumper, but I bow to the greater knowledge of you all as to what I can probably expect the weather to be like at that time of the year.

It goes without saying I have a (packaway) wet weather jacket that comfily fits in my Harry Potter backpack, and plenty of ziplock bags to keep phone, passport etc dry just in case, although I will be watching the weather report on the tellybox each morning before I head out!

Thanking you all muchly in advance.

Spike.

Last year we were there from the 13th till 23rd March. We had 4 or 5 days in the mid to high 80’s and a few days mid 70’s. It was a little cooler on those nights it was in the 70’s, but I can’t remember if Tom ever wore long trousers?? Don’t think so.......

I know we wore hoodies for the Mardi Gras parades at night but I don’t think we needed them during the day, maybe early in the morning.

If you have room bring the extra pair just in case......you just never know what it’ll be like from year to year.

I'll make sure I'll take a pair of jogging bottoms, and I keep forgetting I'll be there for Mardi Gras, once I'm comfortable walking back to my hotel of an evening I'll stay and watch the parade.

I'm staying at the Rosen Inn closest to Universal, as a non driver it was a no brainer to stay at a hotel with a relatively short walk to the resort, the fact I'll be walking home every night means I wont be staying late as it gets colder.

Having said all that, being from the U.K the climate is probably going to be a lot warmer than I'm expecting!

Yep, we are from the U.K. too, so Orlando temps are always going to be better than what we’d get at home!

I do remember watching a vlog from Tim and Jen Tracker (They are the best!) when they were cold of a night when it was 70 degrees, that did make me chuckle!

I usually just look at the long-range forecast a few days before I leave home. It's not 100% accurate, but gives a good idea of what the daily highs and lows could be. I like the accuweather website. I think I only took 1 pair of pants on our late November trip! (and 2 bathing suits)

The honest answer is, nobody knows. Wait until you get closer to your trip and check a long range forecast.

I live in the south and Jan is usually cold. In fact, it is usually when we get snow if we get any.

I just returned from a wedding and no coat was needed even though just two days ago, I needed a heavy coat. A lot of the women were wearing sleeveless dresses.

You'll be fine being from London. We got cold last March. I felt like I was never going to warm up the whole week, but we are wussy and from Texas:D The wind was strong and cold, which wan't helping.

Well this afternoon I thought I would do a practice pack of my suitcase, before doing that I watched a YouTube video on suitcase packing, so glad I did, I've never had such an easy time packing (just about) everything I'll be taking!

I've got plenty room left for souvenirs, am planning to buy at least one item of clothing thats Hp, Marvel and Simpson related, + small sized gifts for the family and Harry Potter sweets for my friends at work, and I've even got room to be able to pack my coat once I get to the airport,so I wont be carrying that around with me when I get to Orlando, 8 weeks today!

Don’t trust the forecast! Even day of is frequently wrong, so trying to look several days out and trusting it to stay the same is a gamble. March can be anywhere from 40’s at night to 80’s in the day. Sometimes the high is in the 50’s, but 70’s-low 80’s is more common. Though March is not the rainy season, it could still rain. A cooler temperature in Florida feels cooler than the same temperature up north, I think because of the moisture in the air, but I don’t know how it compares to England. Your cold tolerance is much higher than us locals though. Going to the theme parks when the temp drops below 70 is always amusing- most locals are wearing warm clothing and those from cold climates are walking about in shorts and tshirts enjoying the “warm” weather! :)

Thats one of the reasons I chose early March to go, after doing my research, I figured, that probably it would be warm for a Londoner but not too hot (Could never go in the summer) but thought I'd get some opinions on the weather nevertheless!

Make sure you pack your spellbooks, your cauldron, your robes, your house tie, your potions, and especially your wand!

Well I have my Ravenclaw lanyard, 2 Ravenclaw t shirts, and I'll be buying my wand when I get there, and even though hes not Ravenclaw, because hes my favourite character, I'll be buying Nevilles wand (interactive of course!)

We have been in early March in the past 2 years. We have had 70's for highs both times and beautiful weather, no rain. I know we were just lucky, so I would bring warm clothes too. good luck:)

I have been to FL at that time of year many times. Simply, the weather can be allover the map.

As late as April we have sometimes had very chilly week-long trips. Other times, it is really nice. typically, the weather is a bit variable- warm during he day, and cool at night. We often start the day wearing shorts and layers on top (sweatshirt, jacket, or even a fleece). Mid-day, we tie the layers around our waist or put them in a back pack. Most often- THAT TIME OF YEAR, we go back to the room about 5pm to put on jeans for the PM - and stay out until the parks close. But if you aren't early morning or late night folks, then you might not need the layers.

Some years, we have even worn hats and gloves, and extra socks. These items don't take up much luggage space, and can really come in handy.
almost year roum d, we bring at least one pair of long pants to FL. Temps tend to drop at night, and Epcot, in particular, can be breezy with the World Showcase lagoon. AK tends to be slightly warmer with all the vegetation blocking the breeze. Also, at least historically- AK tended to close earlier. These days, Pandora is neat to see after dark.

Always, clothes that do double duty are SUPER. I have a windbreaker type jacket that also does fine in light rain. We don't often actually use them, but was also always bring cheap plastic ponchos. If you get heavy rain, they can be handy. ALWAYS bring quality walking shoes- and at least two pairs of shoes per person. Ideally - at least one apir that tolerates water (for pool, rainy days, and water rides like Kali. or skip Kali at AK). Dark sweatshirts and jeans that can be worn twice are good.
