I'm wondering if I will need to pack pants or sweaters/jackets for the evenings during our October trip to WDW. We'll be there mid October to late October.

Can anyone share their experiences with being there that time of year.

Thanks!

We have been there this time of year several times and I can say that it can be different at all times. WE usually wear only shorts and t-shirts with an occasional long sleeve shirt thrown in and we have also been when it was quite cool with jeans and a sweatshirt.

My family has been in FLA the last two years in October. Two years ago is was HOT, they were experiencing a major heat wave and it was about 90 every day. Last year it was still pretty warm, in the 80s. We had shorts and short sleeves every day and every day was a good pool day. Have a great trip!

I'm wondering the same thing...we'll be there the last week of October. I guess I'll just check the forecast, but be sure to pack a little of everything and be prepared to do laundry one day.

We've been there quite often in Oct. and it's always been hot or just perfect weather. Now being from WI we can go out in shorts until the temps get to be about 50. so its all relative. However, last year in Oct. it was in the 80s and very humid. The other times it was no colder than 68 (at night) and low 80s during the day.

We will be there towards the beginning of the month and here is what I am planning to cover my bases. We are all wearing jeans and t-shirt on our way to WDW (it will be cooler where we live). I am going to pack another pair of jeans, along with a jacket for everyone in my family, the rest of our clothing will be shorts/t-shirts. I am hoping:rotfl2: that this will ALL be a total waste of time and we have beautiful weather for our entire stay! Are you counting down yet????

Thanks for all your replies. From what everyone has said, I think it will be best to check the weather forecast before we leave and just plan on packing at least one pair of pants & a sweatshirt/light jacket for everyone.

BLAMBKY -- I am counting down the days now. Just trying to finalize plans and make sure I learn as much as I can reading the forums here :thumbsup2 Hopefully me packing the cooler weather outfits will just ensure we have warm weather the entire time we are at the parks also ;)

I go every year in Oct and bring a little of everything. Usually one pair of jeans that I usually only need on my way back to Chicago.:rotfl:

I also bring one long sleeve shirt ( just in case ) and a light jacket. Don't forget a rain jacket or be prepared to buy a yellow slicker with Mickey on it.

I have never had it get really cold any time during Oct. It's usually about 80 during the day and drops to somewhere in the 60's at night.

Our trip is Oct 18-25. I was reading over on TGM that someone tried to get reservations at a Deluxe Resort and was told that they were all booked!! I also read somewhere on the DIS that the Swan and Dolphin were also booked. Does anyone have any insight as to why no vacancies. There was a reply on TGM that perhaps people were making mulitple ressies just in case. We picked this time because we thought it would be less crowded. Now I am thinking we are going to regret it...

Food & Wine is going on at EPCOT and MNSSHP at MK. Also, weather is perfect at that time of year.

We're going Oct. 17-24. Our kids don't go to school year round, however, this is the week of their fall break.
