I live in Montana (where it was 20 below zero yesterday morning by the way) and I don't know what to pack for clothes for my family when we go to DW for the first time late April. We're then spending a week at Clearwater Beach. Do we need ANY pants or sweatshirts or coats? Or just shorts and t-shirts? We've never been to Florida so I just don't know what to take. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I've never been in April, but I went this past May. It was mostly hot, but sometimes in the evening or at night inside somewhere air conditioned it could get a little chilly. I would probably bring one sweatshirt and one pair of jeans.

I live in upstate NY, but many years ago I lived in Clearwater Beach for 2 years. You will not need long pants or sweatshirts in April. You may want to pack a light sweater for evenings because everyplace is air conditioned especially if you get alot of sun, you may be chilled.Clearwater Beach is beutiful! the sand is white, beaches are great. We are going to Disney in late April and I am hoping to go to the beach at least for 1 day. Where are you staying? I am familiar with several hotels and restaurants in that area, so if you have any questiions, feel free to ask! :flower1:

Thanks for the replies. I forgot about air conditioning!! Not too many places have it here. I'll definitely take a light sweater and maybe one pair of jeans.

Disney4me - We are staying at a condo in Belleair Beach actually. It's right on the beach supposedly! I've been researching and it sounds like Pier 60 is fun. We'll want to fish off the pier and maybe go to Caldesi (if that's the name of it). I'm actually a little worried that my kids will be bored after going to DW for a week! I hope not. The only ocean they've been to is the Pacific and that was in June at Lincoln City, OR...was it cold! Any tips, restaurants or activities would be much appreciated. Also, will we have trouble getting from DW to Belleair Beach with our rental car? Hopefully, it's pretty straightforward. I've lived in SF and DC so I know about traffic but that was years ago. Thanks!!!!
