We are going to WDW Feb 12 - Feb 19th. I was going to pack a little of everything. (shorts, pants, sweatshirts, t-shirts) Should I bring winter jackets, hats, gloves, etc.? I'm so used to snow and temps in the teens that I don't even remember what 50's feels like. :confused3 TIA!

I think it all depends on the temps you are used too. We've been a few times in Jan (seen 50s in the morn) and never needed more than a sweatshirt and/or a spring jacket once or twice. We've also been in shorts and hit the waterparks during this time, its so unpredictable. We are used to very cold winters ( - 30C) so 50 will feel like spring/fall to us. And remember, it only starts off as 50 and warms up quickly during the day so you'll probably end up stripping layers.

I think I will bring 3 outfits/day/person because of the drastic temperature changes. Early morning and late night can be chilly, in the high 30s/low 40s. Definately bring jackets if you plan to be out and about at those times, but not parkas. During the day can be 60s to 70s, so shorts are a possibility, but not a necessity. I'm hopeful enough to pack them, though! But I plan to spend most of my days wearing jeans and a t-shirt layered under a sweatshirt.

My family has been in February twice before . I don't think you need anything other than a sweatshirt & Jeans. Be sure to pack shorts as well. On our last trip the weather went from the 50's the first part of the week to the low 90's for the last two days. Glad I packed the kids swimsuits! ::MinnieMo

Our last trip in Febuary, the temps went from the low thirties in the morning to the mid fifties in the afternoon and occoasionally up into the sixties. To accomidate the temperature swings, we would wear midweight jackets along with long underwear, long sleeve shirts and t-shirts in the mornings. No need for hats and gloves. As the day progressed we would loose a layer. We took small packs with us that would accomidate the clothing as it was removed. Messanger bags would work well too. If the weather report called for a "warm" afternoon, we would pack shorts too and change when sutable. As evening came on, we usually put a layer or two back on.

We will also be there from 2/14-2/18. I have bookmarked accuweather.com's 15 day forecast for Orlando, FL. So far the weather for that time looks like clouds/sun with highs around 65-70. I know 15 days is not as accurate as say a 5 day forcast but if you can wait to pack until a few days before you leave (which I am hoping to do) you may not need to bring clothes you will not wear. (i.e. big winter jackets) I'm hoping to fit all our clothes into our carry-ons (with a collapsible duffel packed in case we buy too many souveniers. ;) So my advice is to keep watching accuweather's site and you will know pretty much what clothes you will need.

Not sure I would trust that. We've been twice in Jan and the forecasts were very unpredictable, changing all the time. I've been watching their local weather and its been constantly changing. We're bringing a bit of everything as we found we would go from Jeans to shorts to spring jackets on our last trips.

We are leaving Sunday 2/6 and I've been tracking the changes on the 15 day forcast daily. It's saying mid to high 70's to mid 50's. I live in Texas and I went past the bank mid day and the thermometer said 51. I was out all day running errands in a long sleeve T and a light fleece jacket.

Layers!!!!

I would go to weatherchannel.com a few days before you leave, We leave tomorrow for WDW, and the weather has changed just in the last week. Now we are expecting to have great weather. Lowest Low is 50 and Highest High is 76.

I agree. We leave on Wednesday & I'm putting off packing until Monday nite. I've been tracking the weather but its changed alot. Now it looks like mid 70s during the day with no drastic lows. In that case, I think all you would need is a sweatshirt for first thing in the morning and a pair or two of jeans or sweatpants to stick on the kids at night. Its 45 here today & we're definitely not wearing hats and gloves.

We have done only one trip then. I found that zip off pants were good for the ds. Also for swimming in the pool they got sick. It was cold at night walking from the pool to our room. I suggest a hooded sweatshirt and sweatpants if you do any swimming in the afternoon on. Only a few afternoons they could have worn shorts. We usually took windbreaker type jackets with t shirt underneath and sweatshirts for layers as needed. We also had our winter coats in the room for our trip back to the snow and ice. Also just wanted to add the germs are everywhere then. Bring some kind of hand sanitizers and every over the counter thing you think you might need, tylenol, imodium etc. I didnt swim then, I just thought it was too cold for my liking.

We were in Disney 1/22 - 1/30. I checked the weather forcast everyday for the 15 day out period on....It changed drastically..all of the time!.. The funny thing was that we watched the local forcast every morning before we headed to the parks and even that wasn't right all of the time..actually most of the time. :confused3

My advice...bring things to layer and leave the bulky jackets at home. We had weather in the 60's most of our days, but no rain..the sun came out at least for a little bit most days :sunny: My girls still swam in the outdoor pool!! And we had a BLAST!!! :cool1: :cool1:

Have A wonderful Trip!!!! :wave2:

Although I think that a lot of experts have already weighed in, I'm going from 2/13 to 2/18 and was planning on packing for my family mostly long pants and a combination of short- and long-sleeved shirts, a pair of shorts, and a fleece outer layer. Of course, since we're coming from colder weather, we'll inevitable be wearing a jacket and perhaps hats/mittens, but I wouldn't think they'd be necessary in the parks unless it dropped below 40 (which it better not!).
