What Century?

We will be staying at the Pop ( "We" being DH, Me, DD and DS) in August! Can anyone give advice/opinion to the best building (not perferred) to stay.....not that it will be granted with my fax request, but it is worth the try. I will also need a non-smoking room (DS has asthma) but did not request it when I made ressie......should I? or wait till I send my fax? Thanks in advance!

call and tell them your requests. Then you can also fax. It is important to also have these noted on your ressie though. We have been lucky and have received our requests.

If you call cro and tell them that your DS has asthma, they'll gaurantee a non-smoking room (as opposed to it just being a request). My DS also has asthma so it was a major concern for us. The confirmation letters I have even state "guaranteed non-smoking" and when I've called to change our ressies, I always check and its notated on the account that "DSName has asthma". The last rep I spoke with told me that its easier to have it noted now than to wait until you get there because you might have to wait longer for your room or someone might have to be bumped from their room to accomodate our need for non-smoking.

As far as rooms to request, I've heard that the 70's bldg is good, but this will be our first trip so I don't have any first-hand experience.

Don't you mean "what Decade"? The entire Pop Century is based on the 20th century, so to move out of that century, you may have to look into staying at PO-R.

We stayed in the 70's in bldg 6 which is the last one closest to the parking lot. We had a lake view room. It was a very quiet building, but I think I would have rather stayed in the 50's. I think they are a little closer to the Main Hall (although none are very far) and the 50's also has their own pool.
