What can you bring on Forbidden Journey?

I was reading that there will be a space for small stuff on the Harry Potter and Forbidden Journey ride. Could a very small backpack fit in there? I would like to bring my camera and cell phone to the park that day and it would be great if it would fit.

I guess getting the locker wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, I was just hoping to avoid it.

From what others have said, it's only a very small compartment in the small of your back part of the seat. People have said a purse or sunglasses can fit, so definately not a small backpack it sounds like. We're going to take a waist bag and keep it on us for the ride (testing the seat first to make sure the restraint can close with it on).
We're going to have to use the lockers for our rucksack though.

If you want to bring your camera and phone, you should invest in a pair of cargo shorts with lots of pockets. You could skip the lockers all together...I never fool with the lockers and I take all kinds of stuff with me. I'm surprised my shorts stay on half the time with all the stuff I have.

See I knew that there was a reason people starting wearing shorts that were falling off them. It's not a fad...it's all the cameras, phones, money, and stuff we are walking around with!

I rode today and used the back compartment for my camera and sunglasses. No size backpack would fit. I'll try and pay more attention tomorrow and give actual dimensions.

Thanks! Look forward to hearing your measurement estimate! Am wondering if a small fanny pack would fit in there. I usually wear it on all rides when possible, but don't want to interfere with the restraints.

could I also ask where are the lockers in relation to the ride itself? Will I be able to take photos going through the queue area then put my camera and bag in a locker at as you're boarding? And how easy is it to get back to the lockers after you've been on the ride?

it's a very small box about one of those large index card holders

It's only meant to hold the stuff in your pockets, because if you leave the stuff in your pockets there's a good chance they will fall out. I made this mistake the first time and almost lost my keys and phone, i grabbed them just in time

the lockers are at the entrance to the attraction and are meant to hold bags and things. once you exit there's a door right back to the lockers

Sometimes those cargo shorts pockets work and other times they don't. I wore some a couple of years ago, put my glasses in when I rode the Hulk and the glasses still fell out . Thanks goodness that I had brought an extra pair so we just walked over to RPR and got them!

I wore a fanny pack with my Butterbeer mug looped through the waist strap on FJ with no problems.

also sounds like you need to keep your camera with you if you want pictures of the queue.
