What can we do in 1 hour?

We are heading to US on friday afternoon, and picking up our AP's. We have never been to US or IOA. We will have about an hour before the park closes. We would love to run in and at least ride/see one thing...Minion maybe? Rip ride rocket? Does this sound possible? Thanks

You could watch the Cinematic Spectacular fireworks/lagoon show!

I'm sure someone else can chime in on this because I haven't been to the Studios at closing time in a while, but I remember going to ride Mummy within the last hour and they had already closed.

IOA attractions always close their lines the moment the park closes.

I often stop into Universal for an hour or two and have similar goals.

The Universal website says IOA closes at 6pm and USF closes at 7pm on March 1. Assuming you get there about 5 pm, I suggest go to IOA and do Spiderman and then the Hulk coaster. They are near the entrance and Spiderman has a single rider line that gets you through faster. I don't remember if Hulk has one. Make sure you get the map/times guide just inside the turnstiles. From there it will take you about 10 min to walk over to Harry Potter Forbidden Journey. You could take a chance because that line is usually shortest at end of day. You could squeeze all 3 rides into an hour.

Then leave IOA and walk to USF (past NBA City, the shorter way). Walk up to the Mummy, use single rider line. Then, walk back the way you came and you'll see Rip Ride Rocket and Despicable Me are next to each other. RRR is probably faster since it has single rider line. Despicable Me has one line for everyone, a good way to catch your breath after all the rush.

Remember, the Cinematic Spectacular is shown at the end of the day. You can do a lot in a short time and get a feel for both the parks so the next day is way more fun. Good luck.

Thanks for the info..we managed to get there a little early, and rode RRR, simpsons, and Minions. We loved them all!
