What can U get at Disney for $5 ???

I'm planning on putting together some kind of birthday gift for my niece for our upcoming trip to Disney...I thought of doing a High school musical gift basket with t-shirt,scrapbook,stickers,autograph book, pen.. and I wanted to include some "coupons for our trip".

I thought of doing $5.00 coupons entitling her to various things such as.... a coupon for a pin, coupon for the gift shop at the hotel, coupon for goofy's candy shop,etc....but I'm stuck at that point...does anyone have any suggestions of what else could be included....she is turning 11 years old.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

$5.00 will get her a charm for a charm bracelet...they are in every WDW resort gift shop, & some gift shops in the park. My DD13 and I collect them. We each have about 3 bracelets full.

($5.00 will not get her a WDW pin though...if you are planning on that)

I forgot all about the charms, that is a great idea. My daughter and I collect them as well.
I thought pins range from $5-$12.......

Both my kids like keychains so how about a coupon for a keychain?

I think you can find some for $5.00 - $7.00.

Also maybe one for money for playing video games in the resort?

They have these adorable little candy dispensers (comes with candy) at the candy store at the front of MK. They look like Disney cuties, and they spit out little candies, kind of like Pez but way cuter. They are $2.50 each. A great deal IMO, and kids LOVE them. They come in all of the popular characters.

I took a quick pic of one of ours. Sorry it's blurry...my batteries are dying in my digitial camera. lol But it gives you an idea of what they look like.

What about some disney dollars? I know thats has nothing to do with the coupon but that way she can spend it anywhere at WDW.

A bunch of "pressed pennies" (.51 cents per machine, find them throughout the parks and resorts)
Disney pens/pencils
Bags of candy (pre-packaged)

Magic towel (many different designs to choose from, stick it in water and it turns into a 12"x12" towel)

Oh yeah...I get resort/park/attraction magnets all the time...many are only $4.00 each.

**I've also never seen a pin for less than $6.00...sorry.

I like the idea of the pressed pennies. Instead of a coupon though, you could make her a personalized 'pressed pennies tube' and fill it up with alternating sets of 2 quarters and 1 penny.

I did this for my kids for our last trip and they loved them.

You could also give her a coupon for a pressed penny book/holder. (I belive they are about $7).

I cannot remember the name of the store but everything is $10 and under. In this particular store you might find things that are two for ten or sometimes even four for ten. When we were there in December they had the kids fancy cups with the crazy straw...princesses and others... four for ten. The same cups are on disneyshoppingdotcom for $6 now. They usually have other things, too, like small plush, t shirts, toys, etc. in these bins. Good luck. There are things w/in the $5 budget, you just have to look. The Disney Dollars idea is a good one because she might just save all of her money to buy one very special momento. Have a great time celebrating her birthday!
