I wish we could do the outdoor fire place here.We are in a condo and I think that might just get us evicted! My folks have one and he loves that too.Great idea. My DS ended up playing games at a friends house and DD went to the new "dog" movie, sorry its before coffee and the name escapes me. She thought it was awesome. :coffee:

You could always go to a local park and have a fire in one of the fire rings or grills. Out public parks have places where you can grill out.

My DS8 loved the fire we had in the grill at the Wilderness cabins! After we were finished cooking we let him throw pine cones and sticks in it. He loved it just like the fire pit. Just a thought. :goodvibes

Scrabble, Risk, Apples to Apples and a great action video
They can bake cookies and make their own pizza from a mix.
Then they can clean your kitchen!!! :rotfl2:

Poker is now popular. You can get some poker chips from Walmart for about $4 and then you just need a pack of cards. I find playing cards seems to help with your math skills as well. Crib is also fun to play.

Agree with the cards idea (other than gambling) but not too sure about the poker....

Serious gambling is an increasing problem / addiction with teenagers - and it has to start somewhere. I'd be careful....

Just my .02

:)

When my DS was 14 he liked to go skating with his freinds, on a bog here on the Cape, they used to play ice hockey. He also liked to play paintball in the woods with his friends and "the fathers" would go too...I don't know who had more fun!

Paintball! Never thought of that. He would love it!

Thanks!!

How about getting your son and his friends to build you something like a shelf. They could go buy the wood and paint and then bring the material home and build it.

He would love that. He just finished building a hydrogen car in Industrial Tech at school and loved it. He would sooo love to build something for his room. Great idea. I'll see what we can come up with.

Thanks!
