Hi. My family will be in WDW (first time) Sept 15-19. I am trying to look all of the tour plans in the WDW planning books and trying to figure out how I can get to see everything that will interest my 5 yr old. This is a bday trip.

Can anyone give me an idea of what the lines might be like at this time of year?

Thanks.

After the Labor day holiday things slow down pretty well. You wait times should not be more then 20 mins for most rides if that. That is a good time to go and you should be able to get a discount so watch mousesavers.com

We are going in September also! I think toward the end of the month. My husband is plying softball in Orlando, then to Disney after! I am taking 6 year old and 1.5 year old. So the planning is fun. Looking forward to it. My daughter asks everday if it is September yet!

Well, the hours are shorter, some attractions will be down for rehab, and it is likely to pour rain every day, but I have very fond memories of our Sept. 2001 trip. We saw everything with no waiting, didn't have to worry about PS's for restaurants, and had tons of CM interaction since we were sometimes the only guests around. Good pool time too. I envy you being able to go in Sept! Dd is in mid-school now, it's not going to happen for us any time soon.

We have gone in September the last four years, and love it. The crowds are low, so shorter hours aren't a problem. We just spend the evening playing miniature golf, Epcot, Boardwalk, DTD, etc. We also go to bed at a decent hour.

The weather has also been great. It has never rained every day, and we've been in both the beginning and end of the month.

Each year since 9/11, the crowds are a little larger. After 9/11, it was like a ghost town, no lines, no crowds, too empty for my taste. But last year, we even utilized Fastpass a few times (very unusual).

We love September!

Is it really crazy at Labor Day? Is it the week after Labor Day that is still crazy or does it slow down after LABOR DAY WEEKEND? Thanks........

You will be fine. The busiest day will be Saturday if you are there for a Saturday. Usually that is one of the days of fireworks, or parades that are not featured the rest of the week.

I have been the last 3 Septembers and think it is a great time of year to go. Crowds are small, and some rides are down, but all in all it is wonderful.

Like others have stated - shorter hours, but it doesn't matter because the crowds are lighter. And you'll find more rides down for rehab then normal during this time.

We went this past Sept/Oct for our honeymoon and we had a blast...we had a few warm days, a few cool days, and a few rainy days - some days it just rained in the morning for 20 minutes then that was it...other days had afternoons that were washouts.

all in all though - I can't wait to go back again in September!

We go in September...have gone every week in September and they are ALL good....hopefully will be going THIS September to celebrate 6 years married!!! We honeymooned in WDW and have been fortunate enough to go back every year to celebrate in style! princess:

We have also gone in Sept and so far that is our favorite time of year. We have had great luck with the weather and there are rarely lines longer than 10mins ( and that is usually the time to walk thru the pre ride stuff). The only recommendation I would give is to make sure you look at the times of the parades and fireworks and if there are specific ones you want to see plan around those times.

Sometimes you might only get 1 or 2 chances in a week to see something.
